I was on twitter earlier on today and read that 9500 UK redundacies were announced yesterday. Read the thread below for details;
It seems that we're reading about redundancies daily now. The city i live in has been heavily hit - although thankfully IT seems to be pretty secure atm.
According to this article 60,000 job losses have been announced since the start of lockdown.

Couple this with the likely no-deal brexit and things are looking horrific financially.
Surely this can't be allowed to continue? How can we climb out of this situation? Boris has announced a plan to "build" stuff yesterday but it's hardly a massive economic stimulus. It's only £5 billion. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-53226906
