Shame the Manchu didn't exterminate them like they planned on doing. China will take what it pleases from its land, that it has been in for 2000+ years. Probably take some of that wealth the Uyghur thieves took and give it to legitimate minorities, such as Tibetans and Zhuang.

Han Chinese arrived in Xinjiang before Uyghurs .Uyghur are late comers but they defeated native local tribes and established their kingdom there. Xinjiang is like a cross road between the east and the west, dominant groups of different ethnic backgrounds come and go fast.
