India demolishes Himalaya outpost to end China standoff | Reuters

Details of the deal have not been made public and there were differing versions about what had been dismantled. A source with direct knowledge of the decision making in New Delhi said India agreed to take down a temporary metal-roofed shelter in the Chumar area, further south along the disputed border.

The source said the dismantled shelter had been erected in Chumar shortly after China set up camp on the plateau.

However, an official from the Indian army's northern command said India had taken down more permanent structures from Chumar.

"The bunkers in Chumar were dismantled after we acceded to Chinese demand in the last flag meeting. These bunkers were live-in bunkers," the army officer told Reuters on Tuesday.

My questions is why would this army officer lie?

Now, indian still keep finding "proofs" to prove they didn't "surrender to" China,, hehe.
They make doubt, then "search" so-called "proof" to prove it wrong, then another party start.
Seems we will see another doubt and party....
Indian........

Since our very own HongWU is banned and everyone is missing him :laughcry:

Here he goes

HongWu: Chumar belongs to China now. We entered Indian territory with PLA and Indians could only cry. We kept squeezing their balls for 20 days until they carved away Chumar. They tried to steal it from China by building bunkers in disputed areas in violation of the 2005 treaty. Now they got caught and PLA spanked them badly for their arrogant overreaching. Now their shupa-powa dreams lie shattered by PLA just like 1962. All that talk about "it's not 1962 anymore" turned out to be empty Indian boasting as usual

Doesn't this prove that Indians are the least to be trusted?

Only god knows why the **** did the Chinese even entered in the Indian territory in the first place . It not only brought them embarrassment but a villain image among the masses not only from India but from the whole world .
Whereas Indian government played the Chankaya way which was soooo successful
The Chinese must admit that their army or rather government acts childish..........sometimes

India agrees to some Chinese demands to end Himalaya standoff | Reuters

(Reuters) - India has agreed to a Chinese demand to demolish bunkers near their de facto border in the Himalayas, Indian military officials said, as part of a deal to end a standoff that threatened to scupper slowly improving relations.

Indian and Chinese soldiers faced off 100 meters (330 feet) apart on a plateau near the Karakoram mountain range, where they fought a war 50 years ago, for three weeks until they reached a deal on Sunday for both sides to withdrew.

The tension had threatened to overshadow a visit by the Indian foreign minister to Beijing on May 9. China's Premier Li Keqiang is expected to visit India later this month.

India was the one who acted here first, by setting up fixed posts along the LAC, a violation of our tacit agreement.

Now the Indian government has been "convinced" to get rid of them.

Chill out. There are barely any news coverage of this event here in the states. If its not for PDF, I would have never heard of this none event.

In China obsessed India, I'm certain that this is around the clock coverage.

No.
China had started provocations in this sector. Sending Revenue department officials to the region which would add a stronger claim to the region when the border negotiations happen among other things.
As a response to the Chinese provocations India set up this 'bunker' in April.
China started camping as a response to this setting up of the bunker.

And now, Chinese have agreed to go back to status quo - no provocations that LED to India putting up the bunker in the first place.

The is a disagreement on the LAC that need to be worked out between the two sides.
