Good Going DRDO. Sudarshan program is going well it seems. RUSTOM-H should fly within an year now.

No Private defence company in India can give this nation things like SLBM and ICBM , So stop Bickering about Privatization. Aura will only come after 2020 every one knows that and DRDO never has given any deadline on that , Rustom 2 will come in next few months .

How can any one else built such system if government didn't allow anyone?

And still almost half the component used in these missiles bought from private companies.

If we rely only on DRDO so we can never achieve quality as western countries have. Private players are must for our defence industry.

Assembled kit aircraft? Are you joking ? And claiming they are only private aircraft company in South Asia-When we have companies that make components of space launchers !!!

And check out when India flew its first indigenous basic trainer,jet fighter and jet trainer- something you cant do for yourself yet.Also check out link I posted above,I have replied about India's private aerospace companirs there.

Components used might come from private companies but they are not their design nor they have done any R&D on development of the component , DRDO gives them a Prototype and design blueprint .


Seriously ? you think Private companies if given permission will be able to build Fighter jets and battle tanks in House without any technical collaboration from other OEM from other countries ? . Current lot of Defence companies in India are just rebranding weapons developed by different foreign companies has their own , No company has any R&D budget nor funds allocated for such developments.


DRDO should be made into R&D company , and DRDO should pass TOT of their product to Private companies for Production after successful trials , but Now safe will it be ? Leaks can happen even in Private companies .

As for basic trianer not in service/under development.. 1 out of 4 prototypes crashed... ... HTT-40 not in service (on paper/under development) and a disaster in the making (accordin to indian media n iaf against it) ...


Screw tht... come to the topic... india flew a target uav ... nothing awesome abt it... it right now does even have a respectable ranged UAV and these guys are braging abt future UCAVs... with 100 km ranged PGMs (enlight us which ones)...

What about deepak trainer made in late 60s?HAL HT 2 made in early 1950s?HAL Kiran made in early 60 s? HF 24 Marut?Do you have an indigenous equivalent even today?

If you mean Sitara IJT,the program is under development,is in flight test stage.

HTT-40 not in service n a disaster in the making (accordin to indian media n iaf against it) ...

Typical Pakistani logic-HTT 40 program is not even in the prototype making stage,the funds are not rekeaded and IAF is not intrested as IAF already have pilatilus trainers...

You should have atleast learnt,when we flew our first target drone.Yes we have Rustom H and Rustom M in development and AURA UCAV under development..at least we are a country that can develop basic trainers on our own.

But where are the drones?

We don't have a single indigenous MALE sized drone in deployment, except Israeli Herons that are again foreign.

Rustam-H is not out yet.

Rustam 1 is also not deployed.

AURA is still miles away.

Which drone exactly does DRDO plan to convert into a UCAV?

With all due respect let me tell you how program works. When DRDO decided to build Drones, it formed many teams. One of the team was assigned to develop "Weapon for UAV".

That particular team has delivered on time, and it seems they will test there product soon.

Ain't you happy that one of the armed drone team delivered on time???

There is nothing wrong about planning and working on things. But what's with talking ??? DRDO should look at ISRO every limited press feedings and always limited to need to know basis.

DRDO and its HEADS should avoid unnecessary publicity.
