"There is a need to strengthen the regional alliance, says UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Tehran is much weaker than in 2014 and 2015 because of the economic problems, following the reinstatement of US sanctions, Dr Gargash said.

The UAE on Friday ruled out dialogue with Iran, saying interference by Tehran and Turkey is destablising the region.

“It is unlikely we will have a dialogue with Iran in light of them supplying missiles to Al Houthis (in Yemen) to launch attacks on Saudi Arabia,” Dr Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said.

Dr Gargash made these remarks during a discussion on ‘Middle East in Turmoil: Achieving Lasting Stability’ at the annual Globsec forum in Bratislava.

Tehran is much weaker than in 2014 and 2015 because of the economic problems, following the reinstatement of US sanctions, Dr Gargash said.

He said Iran has a record of using deception in its quest to build a nuclear bomb.

Dr Gargash stressed the need to stop Turkish and Iranian meddling in the region and to strengthen the Arab unity. “There is a Turkish-led organisation funded by Qatar, which is the Muslim Brotherhood, an alliance controlled by Iran, Syrian President Bashar Al Assad, Hezbollah and Iraqi groups,” the minister said.

There is a need to strengthen the regional alliance, he said, referring to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain and Egypt, expressing his wish to include the rest of the Arab neighbours, Dr Gargash said."

Well, as a response imagine Iran and Turkey decide to take joint and coordinated action to counter Arabs as a whole. What would be that outcome?

Will be bad for all. We need to solve issues through dialogue. Iran is no different than KSA when it comes to meddling into the affairs of its neighbours and promoting its ideology. So both are playing dirty games and we should either be neutral or play an active role as the mediators to forge an agreement between the two sides.

The fat, corrupt, traitor Sheikhs themselves are colonial implants whose job, among others, it was to stem and contain true Arab nationalism as espoused by leaders such as Nasser. Iran's role in the region has been geared at fighting sectarian Salafist proxies and containing Israel's influence. How Pakistanis are still confused enough to compare Iran and Saudi is honestly shocking. You don't get this ignorance anywhere else.

This statments is nothing then hot air.

How delusional can all of you guys get? There has never been any political regional bloc known as 'Arabs'. The Arabs of the Gulf States - Western puppets throughout history - can barely be compared to those like Egypt under Nasser or Syria as it remains to the current day. It's plain old ignorant to act like 'Arabs' is a bloc.

I wouldn't say "never. I expect some short passes.

Between Iran and Turkey? Posibbly, esspecialy in Syria.

But some turkish-iranian military aliance, as short as may be against some gulf sunni state, I dont believe such scenario is even a distant posibility.

Turkey's very fortunate tilt in Syria policy came as a result of differences with the US over the Kurd issue and Russian diplomatic skill. I don't see it as inconceivable that Turkey and Iran would enhance strategic cooperation.
