Sorry what you have written there is not true.this is the reality.I am in Somalia right now.
Somalia government and its people have long term strategic and comprehensive partnership with turkey republic .UAE only came lately as spoilers and fund political crisis in the country.they don' t respect Somali unity and sovereignty that is why they try to divide Somalia ala Yemen style..UAE sees stable Somalia as a threat and is doing everything to destroy Somalia .check my threads on UAE aggression on Somalia I have been reportng their aggressiveness. They have partnered up with arch enemy of our country Ethiopia to operate one of our ports with out our consultation or approval.we have voiced our complaint to Arab league and UN.

Just 3 weeka ago our parliament has banned DP world from operating in our country because the company breached unity and territorial as well as sovereignty of Somalia.

Lie.

The UAE was in Somalia first.. you know it very well..it is the UAE who has helped Somali government face the insurgency before Turkey even appeared on the scene.. these are facts you can find easily on the net..

Don't say it is a lie before everything comes to light about it.. not even the amount of money is known yet..just speculations here and there..

I would agree 100%. No one would want to see their country broken up and divided and would hold huge animosity towards anyone who's supporting any of that division. But I think the issue in Somalia is much more central to Somalian people than what the UAE has done. Somaliland was a result of the civil war and it's been split off since 1991. That's a long time ago. So isn't the issue more so the division within Somalia and its people vs what the UAE's role is?

President Muse Bihi Abdi supports the UAE. This is just a few days ago.

UAE is just doing Saudi dirty job and if UAE /ksa is of any value Yemen is good example.this is not about who came first.turkey is not the one trying to divide Somalia or doing illegal business etc.we have nothing against UAE if they stop their crazy tactics and come through proper channels.
Both sides can benefit if we come to an agreement that benefit both sides and doesn' breach our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Turkey is important country for Somalia and better days ahead.they are training
Our military and airforce.etc

Unrecognized somaliland is an issue for Somalia gov and not for UAE gov.Somalia like any oher country has secessonist sections but majority of Somalis agree on territorial unity of Somalia.UAE is bombing Yemeni children while laughing I don' think they care about any Somalis.just stop intervening in our local politics and come to the table for both sides to smooth out and every deal must go through our elected gov.

Childish comment, as is the majority of the standard crap on this forum. Notice the only one you tickled was the resident cockroach?

In the meantime, as we've now established, "Intercepted" was quite misleading in the title. Which then leads to all other assumptions such as the money was probably for alshabab and other ridiculous idiocies like that is also misleading, especially when Turkey is holding hands with the UAE in Mogadishu lol. Hypocrisy is a wonderful thing until it's exposed.

In the meantime, sadly for Somalia, that little bit of pocket change will hardly be missed, considering the UAEs financial clout and presence in Somalia.

I am not interested lol

.
I understand that. The reason I asked is because Somalia reportedly only has 2 or 3 MiG-21s and not sure they're even active at the present time, making an "interception" a little bit dubious.

Just looking for details and facts.

It takes only one fighter jet to intercept a civilian aircraft.

Yeeeaah, we've already established that didn't happen. There are no active fighter jets in the SAF since 1991 until present time.

Update

The money was intended for destabilization plans by UAE thugs.

Next step is restore ties with IRAN in post trump America they know to put these terror beings in their place.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denounced the seizure of what it described as a civilian aircraft carrying nearly $10m by Somali authorities at Mogadishu airport.

The government of Somalia said on Sunday it had seized several bags of money containing $9.6m in cash from a plane arriving from the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

According to a statement carried on Tuesday by WAM, the UAE state news agency, the sum was intended to support the Somali military and trainees.

"Money allocated to support the Somali army and trainees was seized at gunpoint by Somali security personnel, who disrespected some members of the UAE forces," it said.

The money was found in three unmarked bags on a Royal Jet plane, according to the Somali interior ministry, and its seizure resulted in an hours-long standoff between airport officials and UAE embassy staff in Mogadishu.

Royal Jet is an airline based in Abu Dhabi, servicing the luxury market between the UAE and Europe.

"The seized money is worth $9.6m. Security agencies are currently investigating where the money came from, where it was going, the individuals involved and the reason for bringing money worth this amount into the country," Somalia's interior ministry said in a statement late on Sunday.

Relations between Somalia and the UAE have been frosty since June last year.

Mogadishu resisted Emirati and Saudi pressure to cut ties with Qatar following a dispute between the Gulf neighbours. Somalia said it was neutral in the Gulf diplomatic rift.

Last month, Abu Dhabi agreed to train security forces in Somaliland - a region in northern Somalia seeking to secede from the country. The UAE has also signed with Somaliland a 30-year concession to manage Berbera Port in the semi-autonomous region. It has also started building a military base in the port city.

Somalia dismissed the agreement between Abu Dhabi and the northern Somali region as "non-existent, null and void" and called on the United Nations to take action.

Speaking at the UN Security Council last month, Abukar Osman, Somalia's ambassador to the UN, said the agreement between Somaliland and the UAE to establish the base in Berbera is a "clear violation of international law".

Osman called on the Security Council to "take the necessary steps" to "put an end to these actions".

"The Federal Government of Somalia strongly condemns these blatant violations, and reaffirms that it will take the necessary measures deriving from its primary responsibility to defend the inviolability of the sovereignty and the unity of Somalia," he said.
