U.S. warship puts China in awkward spot

US has bases in Japan and South Korea it will not be leaving the asia-pacific region for a long time it is even expanding its presence in the Indian ocean island of diego garcia.

Why must these drills be held in the Yellow sea and not somewhere else, for example the Sea of Japan?

^^ because despite what they say this exercise can also be use to sent a message to china

Next time, China should send a naval fleet 60 km away from the exercises to monitor them if they are held in the Yellow Sea to show that that Sea is China's Turf. :sniper:

If that is China's turf indeed as you contend, why stay back 60 kms and watch as a mute spectator?

Sure, it may be a sensitive issue.

But why is China so "afraid" of a carrier?

We have the DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile, which is essentially a one-shot carrier buster.

Aahh...So you are saying that the WHOLE WORLD belongs to America?
Never have. But international waters means exactly that any ship, civilian or military, has right of passage. And territorial waters means the sovereign government can host any guest for any purpose.

In 2020s you shall see China holds military exercise with Cuba in the Caribbean Sea. Payback belongs to us in the near future!
