U.S. Warns Against Nuclear Rivalry between India and China

There is no credible evidence to back up these claims.

There there is no credible evidence that china is independently capable of producing a single nuclear weapon, either.

Either you trust CPC's word .. or PRC just tested Soviet manufactures handed by Stalin to Mao on a platter. And the aid ended in 1960, limiting the technical capabilities of Soviet "gifts".

This explains why china is unable to produce a large number of nukes.

Does that matter?

Isn't it enough that India has nuclear WMD and is ready to strike China?

Come to the point, when Chinese allowed its mortal enemy India to develop WMDs, Chinese proved how much they lack strategic vision. Whoever allows his enemy to get WMD is nothing but a down syndrome patient.

Have you ever seen how patients with down syndrome look like? They look like people of a particular nation. And there is a reason behind it.

Look at Israel, see how much it is committed to go any extent not to allow its enemies in the neighborhood develop any WMD.

Israelis are not down syndrome patients.

So what are you? Did you not allow Pakistan to Develop WMD?

U.S. Warns Against Nuclear Rivalry Between China, India - NationalJournal.com

U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter on Wednesday urged China and India to avoid getting bogged down in a nuclear arms race, the Hindustan Times reported.

On Sunday, India carried out a second successful test-firing of its nuclear-capable Agni 5 missile, which has a near-ICBM flight range. Indian weapon scientists after the test said they were working on another missile -- the Agni 6 -- that would have an even-greater range.

Asked during his visit to New Delhi to respond to Beijing's suspected production of a greater quantity of long-range missiles and India's push for its own first ICBM, Carter said the United States does not want to see the region become "the scene of any competition or an arms race, let alone conflict."

The Agni 6 is envisioned as being capable of carrying multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles.

If this capability is given to the ICBM, it could spur China into equipping its strategic missiles with MIRV warheads, nuclear weapon experts Hans Kristensen and Robert Norris warned in a recent report for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

I'd go one step further, and say that especially in Africa, the Middle East, all of Asia, and South America, the more (near-)neighboring (large) countries foster aggressive competition for whatever between eachother, will see 'players' from afar interfere (often covertly and plausibly deniably) to increase hatred between these neighbors in an effort to 'gain something for themselves'.

The geo-politics of Earth is incredibly f-ed up and not civilized at all, with all this bickering and aggression to gain 'influence' over other nations. I think a really good way to prevent suffering and the sapping of the strength of nations is for regions to band together and simply never engage in arms races of any kind, but instead spread persistent propaganda -among their own citizens- towards friendly relations with at least their direct neighbors and larger neighbors a little further away, and firmly outlaw hate-mongering of any kind on all their own media channels. Note that it might take 20 to 40 years for this to bear real fruits, but it'll be well worth it, in 'defence spending' alone that can than be spent on things your people can actually use and eat and drink (safely).

Grow up, politicians of earth. For Fs sake, plz.

Pakistan's BM seems to be overall more reliable, since they don't overstretch themselves in every fields.

The best way for India now is to improve infrastructure and manufacturing.

A superpower cannot be built in a short cut way by buying other people's tech, it is many decades of hard work.

did u work while sleeping for 500 years?

You haven't even answered the question --> Indians are OBSESSED with Pakistan !
