U.S. Warns Against Nuclear Rivalry between India and China

There in lies the issue - WMD's in India's case is a deterrent and if the adversary refuses to acknowledge that there is enough deterrent with us then we perforce have to go in for more of it until that stage is reached.

The people who need to believe in it believe it and that is what matters.

India doesn't have any operable WMDs because the cheerleaders will leak it before a test is even conducted.

Let the government of china or Australia make an official statement and we will discuss it in detail then.

Fact of the matter is, neither China nor india care about US "concern". India did not care and lived with US conceren when it tested bomb. At best US trying to take some sort of guardian role which neither countries willing to accept.

But Indian Media keep provoking China with stupid News titles such as "China Killer", "Beijing Killer", "China is Number 1 enemy for India" etc etc......Indian media wants China to launch a full scale nuclear attack on India and then they hope the USA will join India to finish China. But that is just an Indian Wet dream because USA will not risk a nuclear war with China to save Indians. LOL

I am pretty sure Chinese reactions can be summed up as "we don't care". The Chinese nuclear arsenal is there to ensure if US or Russia (USSR at the time) attempts to destroy China in a nuclear time, they will be coming along for the ride. This is why Chinese nuclear arsenal mainly include high yield and long range ones.

well if indian are obsessed with pakistan :cuckoo:....well at least pakistanies love to beleve it then ill say pakistanies love to beleve that india and china will fight and pakistan will prevail over like when two kittens faught the monkey made merry :omghaha:

You haven't even answered the question --> Indians are OBSESSED with Pakistan !

The Chinese don't believe it and you can gauge it from some Chinese reactions in this thread. If the Chinese don't perceive our deterrence capability potent enough - that simply means we will go in for more till that stage is reached, or else the whole purpose of having nukes gets defeated.

India's deterrence is NOT POTENT enough or else you will see China speeding up her own defense against India !

India threatening us with nukes is as laughable as North Korea threatening the US with nukes. If North Korea uses nukes against the US, then North Korea will be wiped off the map. The same thing will happen if India decides to use nukes against China, we will wipe India off the map in remorseless and uncompromising fashion.

If India wants to witness the holocaust of the Indian civilisation, then go launch a nuclear bomb on the Chinese motherland. Just see what happens to India. Chinese generals are cold, brutal and absolutely ruthless men. They are trained in the old school communist way and despite our economic opening up, the CPC and the PLA remain as communist as ever in its core. If any country tries to mess with us, we will go full communist on their arse.

Your b@lls don't have that much power to nuke India. You can only nuke India 1000 times in an online forum. Lol!! In reality you'll wet your dress and in process nuke yourself with your own weapon. lol!!

India is only capable on nuking China in an online forum. Because you don't have minturized nuclear warheads and don't have thermonuclear warheads.

That is pretty much correct. India's only thermonuclear test had only 10kt more yield than average fission bomb at best. One scaled down thermonuclear test performed by Chinese in 1990's had more yield than all Indian and Pakistani tests combined... these are the differences we are discussion about here.

Here is Hans Kristensens interview from 2009 after it was revealed "officially" that Indian thermonuclear test had fizzled.
On what basis do you say that the thermonuclear device could not have yielded 45 kilotonnes?

HK: Indian scientists initially said the May 11 tests were 43, 12, and 0.2 kt. Later reports said 45, 15, and 0.2 kt. The three claimed explosions were simultaneous, but the total claimed yield of 45-60 kt yield is not reflected in the seismic signal (mb) of 5.2, which indicated a total yield of only 5-20 kt.

Based on your findings about Pokhran-II, do you believe India has an adequate thermonuclear (hydrogen bomb) deterrent?

HK: I doubt India has a “thermonuclear” deterrent, but one that consists of single-stage (probably boosted by tritium) warheads.

Thermonuclear device tests conducted by countries such as China produced yields in the megatonnes. Is it possible for India to miniaturise the thermonuclear device to get a 45-kilotonne yield?

HK: Theoretically yes, but why go through the trouble of developing a thermonuclear device if you only want 45 kilotonnes? Thermonuclear devices are for hundreds of kilotonnes—even megatonnes, not tens of tonnes.

So then, is a test that yields 45 kt considered a success?

HK: Not a very successful one, if it’s a thermonuclear device.

Does India need to conduct further thermonuclear tests to remove doubts raised by scientists?

HK: If India wants to develop (and have confidence in) two-stage thermonuclear warheads, then it probably needs more tests, but if the goal is to have a credible nuclear deterrent then it doesn’t need more tests. The credibility is not about the type of warhead but whether India has shown that it can bring a nuclear device to explosion and that it has the delivery vehicles to deliver the warhead to its target.

India have developed Thermonuclear warheads of 200 kt yield,it is already inducted (used in Shaurya & Agni.III) and weighs 300-400 kg.
