U.S. Troops Must Not Be Permitted on Pakistan's Soil

Dear AM,

My post was in the context of your describing Pakistan as a Federation. For states to exist and honor a Federal Govt the people have to be ready to put the interest of country over their religon and tribal brotherhood. This does not seem to be happening in certain parts of Pakistan.

Regards

the real issue is of provincial autonomy within the federation. there is talk of seperatism but as a last resort and that in my opinion is a long way off (it may not look so with the insurgency in baluchistan (fading) and FATA)

Aray bhai, the response was in the context of Salim's post, and his reference to the ANP preamble, which is where the term "Pakistani Federation" is used. I am merely quoting the ANP preamble to point out to Salim that the ANP is not necessarily advocating a separatist agenda.

The issue of the Tribal Belt understanding the concept and responsibility of belonging to a "federation" is a different issue..
