Taiwan is a country of freedom of speech. Naturally CCP fanboys are against freedom of speech which is why Taiwan doesn't vote itself into unification with China. If Taiwanese have always been Chinese, why haven't they just simply vote themselves in? Because for two reason.s They are Taiwanese and because they are democratic. PRC is neither.
The people in the Ryukyu islands have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to vote and the right to assemble. The people in Tibet have none of these things.
You may have missed (or deliberately so) the much bigger picture.
There is " a big brother" or "the rogue state" or the world‘s one and only "true dictator" in the watch -24/7 - through spies - be they satellites, or in person, or through the net or devices which would find the slightest chance to intervene or sabbotage or to create conflicts inside a peace-loving country, like China, which stands firm on our own principles and opposes to many of the "dictator's" directives. So-called "freedom of speech" is handing your sovereignty and national safety on a plate to the united SLAUGHTERERS of america to infiltrate, instill or create conflicts in our society which can evolve into the most disastrous chaos, like a civil war!
If you are not kowtowing to their orders, they will give you very hard times.
japan, taiwan (esp under DPP) etc ... are the united SANCTIONS of america's stooges. They enjoy their so-called "freedom" according to the uSa!
That is the result of the surrounding geopolitics. Taiwan today only keeps the name "Republic of China" to keep getting money out of mainland China.
Well, I do think many Taiwanese were thinking about their the Chinese heritage that they did have. But in the end, Taiwanese, Chinese, Hakka, or whatever, they are also democratic. If PRC was to become a democratic country and have elections, free internet, and freedom of speech, then the Taiwanese when Ma was president, they just might have found it tempted to deepen their identity as Chinese. But CCP is utter failure. No outside nation wants to be part of the CCP until they are "harmonized" first.
dont bullshit here again and thinking with your behind all the freaking time.
A vast majority of countries in the world which have diplomatic ties with China don't have OFFICIAL embassies/consulates in taiwan.
Even majority of world wide orgs like the Olympics only allow the name "Taiwan" to represent themselves as a province of China in the respective org's events.
"
CCP is utter failure"
Bullshit again, and again.
