TaiShang knows the post. The flags are correct. If he just links to it, then you wouldn't be confused right now.

Yeah, Taiwan does not belong to the PRC and you know it.

Taiwan is part of China. Dont bullshit here with the filth from your arse!

See what some of your masters say:

"US President Donald Trump has agreed to honour the long-standing "One China" policy"
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-38285354

Downunder:
“The Australian Government recognizes the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China, acknowledges the position of the Chinese Government that Taiwan is a province of the People's Republic of China, and has decided to remove its official representation from Taiwan before January 25, 1973.”

Point is that Taiwan does not have a long history is China. Only 200 years. You think Indonesia is still part of the Netherlands too?
Ha ha ha. The Dutch got kicked out and Indonesia returned to the Indonesians just like the Japanese got kicked out of Taiwan after World war 2 and was returned to the Republic of CHINA.

You are really hard to understand. United States history is only about 300 years too. You are making less and less sense.

Taiwan is a country of freedom of speech. Naturally CCP fanboys are against freedom of speech which is why Taiwan doesn't vote itself into unification with China. If Taiwanese have always been Chinese, why haven't they just simply vote themselves in? Because for two reason.s They are Taiwanese and because they are democratic. PRC is neither.

China is just as interested in the ryukyus as she is in taiwan

Not like the ryukyus was supposed to belong to japan in the first place anyway haha

Japan do not own the ryukyus. The strategic goal in any war in the future would be to liberate them from the japs

Haha

The people in the Ryukyu islands have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to vote and the right to assemble. The people in Tibet have none of these things.

Waz said he's not Japanese.

Shouldn't matter. I could be martian. Ya'll are going crazy mad now.

That is the result of the surrounding geopolitics. Taiwan today only keeps the name "Republic of China" to keep getting money out of mainland China.

Well, I do think many Taiwanese were thinking about their the Chinese heritage that they did have. But in the end, Taiwanese, Chinese, Hakka, or whatever, they are also democratic. If PRC was to become a democratic country and have elections, free internet, and freedom of speech, then the Taiwanese when Ma was president, they just might have found it tempted to deepen their identity as Chinese. But CCP is utter failure. No outside nation wants to be part of the CCP until they are "harmonized" first.

Wanna listen to what the Taiwanese feel about the ryukyus?

No you fail to understand again.

Formosa island under native control ==> Spanish and Dutch ==> Ming/Qing ==>Imperial Japan ==> CKS dictatorship ==> Democracy (1996)

Essentially, it was when Taiwan become a democracy is when Taiwan finally became the independent country like how its been before the arrival of the Spanish and Dutch. That is the same as like how when Indonesia returned to being administered by Indonesians throughout their long history of various kingdoms, before the Dutch arrived.

So funny that you take democracy as such a trivial thing. If Taiwan wanted to be part of the PRC, they would vote themselves in. Instead when the new year rolled in January 2019, Xi makes open military threat and that reunification will happen no matter what, be it with use of military force or not. This situation clearly indicates that Taiwan does not want to be part of PRC.

Except that Western electoral democracy have reached it's level of incompetence.

Watching Hillary Clinton and Trump trashing each other makes Xi Jinping look like a saint.:agree:

Politics is ugly business but what matters is that the citizens have a choice to vote for a candidate. They have a choice to vote and join a political party. And they have a choice to say whatever they want. Besides Clinton vs Trump is a result of America being America. Democracy doesn't have to be the American example. For example, Japan, France, South Korea, Germany, Taiwan, etc etc.

Taiwan is a name of a place, an island, not a name of a people, nor a name of a country. China is determined to take that PLACE, not so much the people who live there. This place is very important strategically. You are a Japanese and you should know this. During WWII, Taiwan was one of the main airbases to launch bombing raids against China's heartland.

China is building up its military strength and that is a very noble thing to do since prolonged conflict kills more people than a short one.

A very gently made threat :-)

But its a different argument. I am only arguing that in identity and in history, Taiwan is Taiwan, not PRC.

There is of course the "might makes right" but that is what it is. "Might makes right" and thus any time that point is made, its an automatic lose as far as discussion goes regarding Taiwan identity.

Might be interested to know that Taiwan has a temple that has enshrined a Japanese WW2 pilot :-)

Why is this even a threat? After WWII, Taiwan was returned from Japan back to China after losing it for 50 years. However, it slipped through again after 4 years. Fine, at least whoever controlled Taiwan at that time at least pretended to be Chinese. Now, they no longer pretend. It has always been a WTF case for Chinese. The desire of taking it back is even considered a "threat"? Who is threatening whom? Japanese are still enjoying their "glorious" moments during WWII. Your own words are just a perfect example.

20 years ago, I told my Taiwanese friends that the conflict between mainland China and Taiwan is always about Japan. Japan is just hiding behind US but it is the real cause. If US withdrew its power due to whatever reason, it just retreats from the Pacific but Japan is always there. Taking back Taiwan is just the first step to finish the unfinished conflict between the two countries in WWII.

When China is planning to take Kyushu, then you may speak of the word "threat" about China. Until then, Japan is always a threat to China.
