I don't belive it could ever happen in USA. We have a proper system and house and senet are so strong. Even though if someone try to do so will be wiped out for certainity. The initial premise was ridiculous. The guy highlighted everything that was relevant and ignored everything that was not. There are enough nutcases with weapons to make any such action hard to maintain. And also the most important question to be asked would be WHY? It is easier to convince the American people to take stupid actions (invasion of Iraq for example) Than to try and control them by force.

What do you think happens in the event of an economic collapse? The closer US gets to collapse, the more potential there is for both - fascism and people's movements. Government will try to keep their hold, resulting the usage of army. Its a natural phenomena, people in power will do anything to keep it.
