Nice artificial reefs

Perhaps the present of US in the Western Pacific benefits China more than what is suggested. US is unlikely to oppose China in Diaoyu Islands and Xisha Islands disputes because she has no grounds to do so.

And on the Spratly Islands she will be an unbiased outsider who can limited the disputes into political struggles rather than an arm ones. That's precisely what China wants.

For China friendships and business partners with her neighbors are more rewarding in a long run than a few underwater rocks. It's just that sometimes she has to consider her sovereignty and dignity when she is perceived to being challenged.

No one in the ASIAN region that could challenge China. If she's not too greedy to the extent claimed as the map below, it probably will not has any controversy.

You are correct. We do not care what YOU think.

you don't always gain if you feel it's time for you to fill your little heart with complacent. the Chinese are better player of Taichi. In a perfect game theory you might be at a loss.

save your reply you need to sort out your embarrassment in Afghanistan.

once the US economic ponzi scheme collapses, US military power will shrink like the british militay did.

wont be long now.
Hey, buddy...

China and the US have roughly the same geographical area, and yet the US has 4 TIMES the agricultural land and much better weather overall. Further, China is losing arable land due to modernization...

Loss of arable land threatens China's grain production safety - NPC&CPPCC Sessions News - News Brief - Newsgd
"From 1996 to 2004, China's arable land dwindled from 1.951 billion mu (130 million hectares) to 1.837 billion mu (122 million hectares), with an annual average decrease of 14.25 million mu (950,000 hectares)," said Fan Xiaojian, vice-minister of agriculture, on the sidelines of the ongoing annual full session of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC), the Chinese legislature.
So guess who is in greater danger of collapse?

Good news!
PLA will become more hawkish and Chinese nationalist sentiment will get a big boost:yahoo:

What we have done in Afghanistan is far more militarily accomplished than what China have done so far in Taiwan.

And we have our subs who know where China's submariners are -- pretty much at all times. So guess who will be sweating bullets about getting screwed? Not US.

Excellent! Now the warships and aircraft carriers move to Iran.....Next week, move to somewhere, Russia, Kony, Brazil?

last 2 times US fought with china in korean and vietnam wars, u couldnt beat us.
dont think the americans want to mess with us again.
even kissinger said this.
What a sorry example of Chinese history learning. Korea was fought to a standstill. And in Viet Nam, China refused -- REFUSED -- to send combat troops when the North Vietnamese asked for help. Instead, all China could do was sent support troops.

LOL I like the way you always bring out this map for your arguments. But unfortunately this map was not drawn by the CCP as she was trying to explain it in the best way she can.

But I bet you if Vietnam relents her SCS occupations, China will follow suit.

technology can dramatically increase agricultural production.
only about 50% of chinese farmers use machinery, compared to 100% in america.
china has alot of room to increase production.

US has a bond bubble and countries moving away from the dollar.
its a ticking time bomb.

US is a very fragile country that went into 10% deficit to get 1.7% growth.
US debts are at 100% of gdp, just imagine when interest rates normalize.
kaboooom

like all ponzi schemes, it will end, once it ends, the US will lose its empire just like the british lost their empire and the russians lost their soviet empire.
And yet, China CONTINUES to purchase US Treasury bonds.
