this is NOT Type-99, this is Type-99G2 is extensively modified/upgraded from Type-99.

G2? For what I saw it's a normal Type 99G. I couldn't see any new stuff

About track protection on the side of the wheels, I saw quite many chinese tank without them in test ground. Not know if it's thing about the testing area or about test. Tanks that are in a combat unit seem to have them.

It's a Type 99A2; there's no such thing as Type 99G2.
