Type 056/A has proved to be a great addition for littoral missions

in a space of 7 years they managed to launched over 70 of these units

freeing up the more valuable Type 054/A FFG and Type 052/D DDG for long range missions

between 2012 and 2019 we had

22 x Type 056 produced
and 50 x Type 056A

in addition to exports

Bangladesh
2 x Type 056
2 x Type 056A

Nigeria
2 x Type 056

Algeria
1 x Tpe 056

total production 79 units

in addition more hulls which were built for coast guard
