Well, the IAF chopper was indeed the ONLY thing that was taken down by your air defence on 27th Feb. Now whether your air defence personnel were incompetent, idiots, unskilled (or all) or the Spyder system was spoofed by the PAF, you can surely hope that wouldn't happen next time.

No excuses for the loss in February 2019. It exposed how operationally unprepared and incompetent the IAF was at that time. It was not like a 100 missiles were fired and 1 of them hit an allied friendly.

Making excuses for IAF this way will only lead the organization to be caught flat footed again.

Not condoning the incident and I believe IAF must everything not to see repeat of that incident. But fratricidal do happen in tense situation.

Most countries spend years training people, learning new systems and creating operational doctrines for newly inducted platforms like the S400 - unless of course - you are India - where you "just" ship it to 2 "hot" borders before the engines are cooled on the planes that flew the systems over ....
