Two security men including a police officer and four civilians were injured in a grenade attack at Pakherpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports said that militants hurled the grenade towards joint deployment of 181BN CRPF and police in Pakherpora. In the attack, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Ghulam Rasool alias Dilawar, CRPF constable Santosh Kumar and four pedestrians received sustained splinter injuries.

All the injured persons were evacuated to Sub-District Hospital Pakherpora for treatment.

A doctor at SDH Pakherpora said that the health facility has received six injured persons including two security men and four civilians. He identified two of the four injured civilians as Shafeeq Ahmad Najar and Irfan Wani. The doctor said that the other two persons are women aged about 40 and 50 years.

The doctor said that the injured four civilians were referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.

They are alive please adjust the title change it back if the situation gets updated.

still public in Kashmir is reluctant. Kashmiri sud send strong message to indian stablishment that enough is enough and it will happen collectively.

these days as guerrilla groups go for IEDs. very popular. no body uses direct gun attacks any more

why kashmiris not using IEDs?

These guys are local guys, who've probably learnt to use guns and grenades. IED is bomb making, they don't have foreign support or link to big militant groups where they could learn that sort of thing. Many of the fighters have been armed with weapons snatched/stolen from Indian forces. I bet their ammo is bought off Indian security forces through black market.

lol all you like but you've got 900,000 security personnel in IoK, the LoC is fenced, manned, lit, mined and has sensors across it. Those guys being killed are also locals with verified histories and back stories.

The freedom fighters themselves have talked about how they lack resources - see the interviews and open letters by Riaz Naikoo.

If they were trained by the likes of Taliban, or other militant/terrorist networks, would they lack the skillset to create and deploy IED, arguably the most effective weapon that could be used in the remote hills of Kashmir.

If they were well supplied by ISI why would they be snatching weapons?

You're own government wants to install smart locks on weapons to combat the issue.

Shukar Alhumdulillah...slaughter is getting unleashed on the indian occupiers. Shoulda heeded our warning that you'll walk here on to legs bur will be carried out either in bodybags or will crawl out with no legs...

If we had been supporting the results would had been different. Thank your stars that since Musharraf took over the resistance went all time low. This is as per Indian stats. The same policy was carried by Zardari, and Nawaz. PM Khan isnt also a fan of infiltration and he is been on record stating the same for which he did faced severe critisim. Whatever is happening is of your own making. I just wished my country played more proactive role specially when we are to be blamed anyhow.

4 civilians are big no no... they must not injure public else they will lose local support..
How do you think security forces get the Intel about where these rebels are holed up.
