The young generation prefers using their fingers. They have become accustomed to direct interaction on Apple iPad tablets. Taiwan's ITRI is simply following the flow of technology. Give the people what they want.

Its not a breakthrough technology anyways.....

Can make any LCD/ monitor a touch screen with a layer of touch screen ( resistive, capacity, IR, .......) on it.

Many news channels here use 60 inch touch screens as well....... which is quiet boring
