Turks taste Pakistani mangoes

1. A lot od people do not know that BD is a major producer of mangoes. Our Langra, like those of Pakistan and India, are perhaps the best tasting with very high brix content. A newer variety is the Amropali which leaves an unforgettable flavor in the mouth for long. FYI, the Battle of Palassy was fought in just one corner of a huge mango garden which now extends into both BD and India.

2. BD does not have any facility yet to hygienically preserve the fruit for export. It's a matter of time.

reminds of the story of a Pakistani American who tried to smuggle mangoes from Canada to States in his mini van. lol

I havent seen Mangos on the bazaar, yet. Nor avocado.

Have eaten ananas a few times. These kind of fruits are unknown to most people here.

Yes, but for both you Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, the King of Mangoes grows in India.

Anything else is a compromise.

I have eaten both. Anwar ratol I would stock in my fridge if good devgad/ratnagiri hapus is not available.

no not indian mangoes, pakistani mangoes

Please man. Desist. You are funny actually. So don't.

Five great mangoes you haven’t heard of - Firstpost

When Pakistanis claim their mangoes are better than Indian mangoes, they are talking not only about the Sindhri mangoes of Sindh but more than that — the Anwar Ratol mango of their Punjab. They will go on and on about the small sinfully sweet Anwar Ratols. They never grow too yellow outside and are fibreless inside. It’s funny that Pakistanis should tell us about the Ratols, because they’re named after the village of Ratol in Baghpat district near Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. They were cultivated first by a man named Anwar-ul-Haq a few decades before Partition. If you can lay your hands on them in New Delhi or west UP in June-July, they are a must try.
