What's new

Turks have officially started hunt that blond Iceland guy...

Turks are the only ones who enslaved the Europeans
Well, Algerians also did but your right Turks did it on industrial scale. Furthermore they are the only Muslim country to have defeated and conquered a European people in the modern times - read Cyprus invasion in 1973. But above and beyond this I notice the Turks do NOT carry the 'white' or what Pakistani's call 'gora complex'.

In fact there is active effort to go against or do things differant from Europeans. If they turn left you turn right. If they go forward you walk back. In practice this means wetern clothing, western mores, western habits etc are outright rejected and opposed. Anybody saying differant will be called 'gora' etc in disparaging terms.

Edogan might dream of being the next Sultan but in all official meetings I notice he is wearing western clothes. He certainly does not saunter about in Ottomam clothing. Turks have no problem writing their language using Roman script, wearing western clothing or openly copying the west. It is entirely natural for them and they don't seem to get constipated about it. In Istanbul everything including restaurents appear to be open during Ramadan and those who want to eat or drink do relaxed without being shouted down as 'gora, gora'.

In Pakistan anybody suggesting Roman script for Urdu, or copying western dress etc would have their testicles kicked up into their mouth. This is the complex at work that Turks don't suffer. In fact I have crude formula. If you look at world leaders at UN, the more they are trying to clutch to their 'national dress' the more they will have been fcuked by Europeans. The Iranian's who kind of escaped being totally fcuked by Europe take a half way approach. Their people wear suits or blazers but as protest no ties and collerless shirts. Many African countries, Pakistan, India, Bangla who are still carrying the complex show up always in their national dress.

To those who are unitiated with this, this is form of inferiority condition that Pakistani's and many others suffer. The way this complex works is people turn against anything they associate with the Europeans or west generally. Even if that is a positive attribute it will be opposed. It's like as if colonial war is being still fought by rejecting anything western.

the problem is when you dress something different, they also use it against you, showing as a totally different people or somebody make no sense.. but when you dress like them, you are basically look like one of them, but explain the difference..
