I have not seen any Anka equipped with Star Sapphire.

But you won't see much details on Mq-1/9 - Hermes-900 - Shahed-129 ...

2 Anka -A is on duty(not purchased working under TAI responsibilty)
2 Anka-B on flight testing with SAR radar
3 Anka - B is purchased by internal security forces
? Anka-B SAR/ISAR probably will be given to Turkish Navy
10 Anka-S is planned by TUrkish Air Force
2 Anka is crashed

In my personal opinion, at the end of the day Anka (except a few prototipes fitted with 300T), Bayraktar and Karayel can not fly with a indiginous gimbal. Taking into consideration that aselsan manufacturing E/O's since many years, it is not a good reflector for aselsan with regards to success.An also some components of aselsan E/O's are foreign originated.We have too many things to do to manufacture complete indiginous system which enables us to export...

Baykar Makina has indigenous gimbal modules AFAIK. Can't they outsource these components for other manufacturers like TAI and so on?

TAI?o_OThey dont produce FLIR.Aselsan handles electro optics.

Baykar don't have any gimbal for use on tactical uav in serial production...

Baykar's TB2 uses FLIR's as GFE (Government Furnished Equipmet). As part of the original procurement program, SSM purchased GosHawk II FLIR's from Airbus in South Africa. In due process they are also equipped with Wescam MX15HD and FLIR Systems StarSafire 380HD.

Vestel Karayel is equipped with MX15HD with laser designator.

Anka Block A and B are equipped with ASELFLIR 300T, like Heron 1 (Gozcu 1). Anka S will be equipped with ASELSAN CATS, but since it is going to be delayed, first Anka S' will receive StarSafire 380HD.

ASELSAN currently has no FLIR solution small and lightweight enough to fit into tactical UAV's. There are no other local alternatives as well.

Furthermore, it has been extremely difficult for Turkey to receive such FLIR systems lately, due to extravagant PR campaign with regards to armed UAV's. It seems no one has ever considered the consequences associated with ITAR, export lienses and MTCR (or worse yet, did not even care when such achievements are so useful for PR).

This is kinda disappointing. I thought we had smaller versions of Aselflir300 like Aselflir200 and 235 version? Good thing is that Turkey has ability to domestically produce it's own FLIR sensors AFAIK(?)

Any idea why they don't use Kırlangıç? Is it because of lack of designator?

Because it has not become a qualified product. It is rather a propositon.

Do you think the Anka will have a bright future?. Turkey invests a lot in those unmanned vehicle programs for both civil and military purposes.

Aselsan will export Aselpod to foreign costumer and it uses aselsan E/O with really impressing image quality as we saw in videos.
what ı cant understand Aselsan can make an jet targeting pod which is flying at high speed but cant make E/O for UAV .

that is different level, a jet can fly with certain weight and a uav limited.

yes ı know its 240 kg and aselflir 300t(95kg taret birimi+23kg elektronik birim)118 kg but if you look other forums you can see the only problem is not the weight.
ı dont know what is wrong with aselflir 235t
