How many will be produced - are there any indications? And how does it compare to Heron, Hermes-900, etc?

I believe that member @madmusti answered your first question. Regarding the second one; compared to IAI Heron and the MQ-1 Predator, the ordinary Anka variant is more similar to the latter and additionally has a greater ferry range, a more powerful engine and therefor also a greater payload capacity and a greater wingspan. The only weakness it has compared to the Predator is the lack of being able to carry any munitions. But for that there is another variant of the Anka which's name carries the suffix "+A" that's under development. The Anka +A will have a greater operational ceiling and will be more alike the MQ-9 Reaper.

To be honest, I don't got a good handle on the names of the variants. They were even talking about some ANKA-Serial for a while that ought to be the plain and simple variant. So far I've read names such as ANKA-A, ANKA-B, ANKA-C, ANKA+A, ANKA-S... Don't know what they are up to over at TAI's offices. Maybe our JR. think tank @cabatli_53 can sort this out for us? :raise:
