To solve this problem, Undersecretariat of Defence industry needs expertise of Otosan engineers (The brother institute of Otokar which is developer institute of Altay MBT) but Otosan doesn't want to be a part of that project cause of different reasons...

Otosan accomodates Turkey's biggest engine design team that has vast of expertise on commercial motor technologies.

In long term, National powerpack project will brings much but At present, Otosan designed motors and trucks/van's are revealed into market under the fame of Ford and Each design sells millions of cars all around the World which means billion $ incomes so It is possible to make angry of FORD, If Otosan joins into such a big project like national powerpack and car.

Ankara-İstanbul Yüksek Hızlı Tren (YHT) Projesi kapsamında Köseköy-Gebze kesimindeki hatta deneme sürüşü yapan "Piri Reis" treni, ray bakım makinesine arkadan çarptı.
Dilovası Diliskele Tüneli mevkisinde deneme sürüşü yapan ve üzerinde "test treni" yazan Piri Reis adlı tren, henüz belirlenemeyen bir nedenle ray bakım makinesine arkadan çarptı. Kazada, tren ve bakım makinesinde hasar oluştu. Olay yerine gelen polis ve demiryolları ekipleri, bölgede güvenlik önlemi aldı. Ekipler, iş makineleriyle hasar gören vagon ve ray bakım aracını kaldırmak için çalışma başlattı.
Daha önce 5 Temmuz'da açılacağı belirtilen YHT'nin son yapılan açıklamaya göre 11 Temmuz’da seferlere başlayacağı söylenmişti.

Delayed speed rail to open July 25

ANKARA
The long-awaited high-speed railway line between Turkey's capital Ankara and its largest city of Istanbul will be launched by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 25, Turkey's Transport Minister Lutfi Elvan announced Tuesday.

"It will open on July 25; any kind of delay is out of question," Elvan told Anadolu Agency in the Turkish parliament.

The rail is expected to help save almost 40 percent of travel time between Ankara and Istanbul by cutting the journey to 3.5 hours.

Originally planned to be operational in May, the project has been delayed by several months due to sabotage attempts.

There are currently three high-speed rail lines in Turkey between Ankara, Konya and Eskisehir, all central Anatolian provinces.

Turkish State Railways had announced in January that it would invest almost half of its 2014 budget (1.8 billion liras) in high-speed trains, as part of a wide array of construction projects planned for Turkey's founding anniversary in 2023.

it doesn't have anything to do with the engineers working on the project...
and it doesn't have anything to do with the project being in the test "phase"

it's a stupid human error caused by whoever's responsible of making sure the test site is clear before giving the go for the test

it's not the first time, they made the OGS system for Turkish highways before...
