Zafer Caglayan, Turkish economy minister said, Turkey broke exports record with 97 countries in 2012 as the new vision sees the world as a market.

Turkey's exports increased by 13.1 percent year-on-year in 2012 and scored $152.5 billion in 2012.

Among the countries who announced their annual figures so far, Turkey has the second largest growth in exports in 2012.

Turkey broke its exports record with 97 countries including the US, China, Canada and Brazil.

He stressed, "We are not focused on a single market anymore. Now, we have a broad vision which accept the whole of the world as a market. We broke exports record with 97 countries in 2012. So our export figures with China, US, Iraq, Canada and Brazil rose its highest. We will get much better results in the near future."

Germany the largest importer of Turkish goods

Exports to Iraq rose 30.3 percent in 2012 which took Iraq to the second place with receiving most of the Turkish exports after Germany.

After Germany and Iraq, Turkey's main partner countries for exports were Iran with $9.9 billion, United Arab Emirates with $8.1 billion, United Kingdom with $8.7 billion, Russia with $6.6 billion and Italy with $6.3 billion.

For 2012, the top country for Turkey's imports was Russia with $26.6 billion. In 2012 Turkish imports range, with $21.4 billion Germany followed Russia and with $21.2 billion with China.

Exports to African, American and Asian countries rose while exports to European countries decreased.
