Turkish President Gul To Pay Official Visit To Pakistan On March 30

ANKARA (A.A) - 29.03.2010 - President Abdullah Gul will travel Tuesday to Pakistan on an official trip.

President's Press Office announced Monday that Gul would be visiting Pakistan between March 30 and April 2nd.

Gul's trip will cover Islamabad and Lahor.

He will accompanied with State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Health Minister Recep Akdag and Minister of Agriculture and Rural affairs Mehdi Eker.

Gul will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and other senior Pakistani officials.

Regional and global developments will be discussed during Gul's visit. Business Forum meetings will also be held within the scope of the visit.

Ways to promote economic and commercial relations through concrete projects in areas like construction, energy, tourism and defense industry, will be discussed.

Gul will also meet with local officials and leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif.

Quaid-i-Azam University will give honourary doctorate to President Gul. (OZG-CE)

Turkish president to visit Pakistan on March 30

Turkish President Abdullah Gul is to arrive in Islamabad on March 30 for a four-day official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

The Turkish president will be accompanied by cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials and chief executives of leading Turkish companies from engineering, construction, energy, textile and manufacturing sectors, said Abdul Basit, the Foreign Office spokesman.

In a weekly press briefing, the spokesman said Gul will hold bilateral talks with President Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.

The two countries are likely to sign a number of bilateral agreements and MoUs during Gul's visit to boost cooperation in different fields, he said.
