What do you think about being a mosque of hagia sophia?

personally I have no importance of it.. except that it belongs to our greatest sultan.. he bought it so it should not being disrespected..

I never stepped in this building even the moment everybody wanted to have a look I said dont spent even one cent for the entrance, this is disrespect for our ancestors.. so I prevented my family to step in and giving money for that and supporting it being a museum..

but there are several things that should be done if it should serve as a mosque :

remove the pictures and all things that is against the oneness of god the almighty!

I have been in it this year, a very impressive medieval structure. Thousands of tourists come to visit it daily, from inside it has remnants of both its Church and Mosque heritages. It is up to Turkey to decide the fate of its disposition, seeing what Spanish did to the Cordoba Mosque, It becoming a permanent major Mosque will make many Muslims very happy.

I was going to visit Turkey before COVID broke out. it was a long overdue trip which I was planning, as my friends in Turkey kept asking me to visit them.

Probably I would have already been to Aya-Sofya if I went. If I was in your blessed country while the blessed announcement came to revive Camii Aya-Sofya, i would be in this crowd most likely.

As one Pakistani commentator, orya maqbool Jan, said, "This good news gives comfort to Muslims all over the world."

For Pakistan, we are celebrating it just as if we were there in Istanbul.

It was only a political and emotional decision. There is no benefit to it. But I don't care who prays in there as long as the building is intact and there is no harm to art pieces in it.

Pazartesi'den Perşembeye Müze olarak kalsın. Perşembe akşamından Cumartesi Akşamında kadar Cami olarak kalsın. Cumartesi Akşamı ve Pazar günü de Ayin için Hristiyanlara kalsın. Böylelikle hem müze olarak insanlığa hizmet eder, hem müslümanlar , hemde hristiyanlar namaz ve ayinlerini gerçekleştirirler. Bence en iyi fikir budur.
Think about it ;
Monday to Thursday it stays as a Museum. Thursday afternoon to Saturday Noon it stays as a Mosque and Saturday Noon to All Sunday it stays a Orthodox Catedral. This way people will visit Hagia Sophia as a museum , Muslims will pray inside the holy day ( Friday ) Cristhians also pray their holy day ( Sunday). Thats the best idea for me.

This was exactly Erdoğans point a year ago. Same applies to the Muslims as well . And also we are secular. So Islam or any other religion is the same for the goverment. Of course Erdoğan hates secularism but still it is in constitution. Türkiyede Egemenliğin simgesi Türk Bayrağıdır , Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisidir. Camiler değildir. !
