Big BS,i watched it all on CNN,the meeting began at 12.30 and ended at 12.55,after which they held a press conference, then they went for coffee or dinner.
Trump kept it short(he read a statement),Erdogan read a longer statement about a new era between US-Turkish relations blah blah.
It was never on China level, the king of Jordan had a meeting of three ours from 9 to 12 after that came Erdogan so,what level was that then?

Buddy, I quoted only what I listened at TEKE TEK. On the other side Jordan is de facto British culture. The main force of the British educated KING is the Cherkessian dominated Bureaucracy and Military educated and trained British.

Yes, we have very good relations with Jordan, it's been the case for decades now. Since the country's independence from Britain after WWII to this day.
You are also right, we do have very close ties with their military and even their rulers, since their former kings wife, Antoinette Gardiner (mother of Jordan's current monarch) was British, and their king attended both Harrow school and Sandhurst military college.
Plus we still have troops in the country both for our soldiers training and also for training and Jordanian soldiers in fight against ISIS, thus to help secure the Jordanian border our forces often enter Syria through Jordan. Etc both countries enjoy very close to ties indeed. It's a win - win situation.

Not really just pragmatism. After all, it's no surprise that Jordan is one of the most stable, peaceful and forward looking country in the region, which is an achievement by itself especially in a region full of instability, civil wars, sectarianism etc despite bordering or being close to most of these countries, Kordan has manage to be a stable moderate and open country with help from the U.K and U S. For example In the 1950s the UK committed troops to the king after an army coup in Iraq threatened Jordan's security. It contributed military help again, in the 1970s, after Syria entered the north of the country in support of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, even to today Britain and the U. S are still helping the country to deal with any spill over effects from the bloody Syrian civil war and Islamic radicals trying to destabilise the country a la Islamic revolution or caliphate.

So I don't see why Jordan shouldn't maintain its close historic alliance with Britain (and the U. S) since it has served the country's interests well so far. Win-win.. Why Change a winning/beneficial formula ? As they say in French :on ne change pas une équipe qui gagne. :)

Never change a running machine. Jordania is stabile but suffers from the refugees flood.
But our topic was Trump and RTE. Was a great show or not ? Smilies, smilies but at the end of the day nothing worth to mention, which is pro Turkey up to now.

I believe U. S - Turkey relations won't change much. Each side is merely going after their interests irrespective of the other which is normal in geopolitics. The only issue here is that the U. S is the dominant power (which is normal as they are the world's sole superpower) so it might look like Turkey is the one on the receiving end and feeling the pressure, but it's newly due to the power balance, influence and resources at the other's disposal . It will be good if both sides cam come to some sort of agreement or work on issues where their interests converge,so trust cam be regained and they can build things up from there. Nobody is innocent here, just that national interests always trumps everything . My 2 cents.
