Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

If the ISIS defences dont dissolve after a sudden breakdown, YPG will not take Raqqa without leaving at least 1000 dead behind. God knows how many critically wounded men they have so far. They usually only anounce the deaths(And its uncertain if they anounce all the deaths at all).

RIP, ES Martyrer Gökhan together with your matryred comrades

This whole ES operation is a big joke. To only objective of this operation is to try gaining the nationalistic vote.

Apparently Russians have declared Tel Rifat area a "safe zone" might be propaganda as it is from the mountain donkeys.

But seriously why are we waiting.

Safe zone is not the optimal end of the situation. If they attack or attempt to attack some of the border towns of ES area the term safe zone is not preventing us to do something. There is possibility of them demanding Russian protection because of the situation on Deir Ezzor and of course give something. If they attack ES zone from there we can retaliate the attacks and if the attacks are raw we can demand an operation or mixed patrols from Russia, Turkey and Iran from position of one of the initiators of the safe zones. As we all know all of the sides (Russia, Turkey, Iran) have their interests and the so called safe zones are implemented in seeking closer stances on issues and resolving problems without clashes. I am not sure with what exactly Tal Rifat is so important for them other than pressuring us. So there is some deal that we must seek in my opinion in Deir Ezzor. Their interests in the area are more connected to Idlib and Northern Hama and more specific fight against HTS and they know that we have the key to FSA and their behavior.

Our problem with Afrin wasnt about them attacking ES areas. They cant do shit to ES areas other than a few occassional bombings. Our problem with Afrin is as long as it stays in YPG's hands there is a possibility that cantons may merge. Manbij to Tell Rifat is less than an hour in a car. And god knows what tricks US or Russia might play in the future. Not to mention thousands of hostile militants right beyond our borders. I seriously think that people who handle our mid east policies are five years old kids.

We prevented the merging of the cantons with the Euphrates Shield operation. Afrin is not included in that area as we see. I said what is the most optimistic variant in a few post above. We cant take and control Afrin. The only one that can take and control major Kurdish cities like Afrin or the ones on the east of Euphrates is Assad. Manbij would be hard because Manbij is serving like operation center of US on west of Euphrates. Russians only care for their interests in Syria like bases that will stay for decades. Russians care for that Syria is still in their hands and they dont want the Americans there. We know who are the hands of the Americans. YPG and FSA on the south. In the end of the day YPG will end just like FSA after ISIS is wiped out. They will not have any purpose in the end and thats when Assad will want the territories back in his control. The first one priority of the countries there at the moment is fight with ISIS and HTS. While the fight with ISIS is taken by the terror group YPG that is now supported by all the sides except Turkey for obvious reasons on Idlib the situation is changing. In Idlib the biggest role will be for the pro- Turkish FSA, Turkey and Russia with SAA. I am sure that in the end negotiations will take place between SAA and pro- Turkish FSA. When ISIS and HTS are wiped out there is still one terrorist organization showing itself like opposition faction and that is YPG. I said it long before while the operation ES was still active that the opposition organizations that dont pledge alliance with the pro- Turkish FSA will be destroyed and will not be given chance and thats what we see on the south. YPG will end just like this. They are just perfect mercenaries that are effective in the hands of others. If SAA and Russia wins they will not survive. They are not doing it now because they are not trusting us enough so they can leave us do what we do best. They will still use them to pressure us at least to the moment when ISIS is destroyed. But lets remember that after that there are problems regarding Deir Ezzor itself and its surroundings, Hasaka and a lot of Arab cities in Northern Syria that Assad want.

Isine git, tokat yemeden. Are you a troll or dumbass ?
Lol Im the dumbass? Look at a current map of Syria, great success right? Gerizekali

All talk no action. First thing you will see in the next decade is an independent Kurdistan. Tell me what the objectives where of ES. Lol, but be happy. At least soldiers of us are killed trying to liberate the insignificant ES area. And at least our second objective to prevent the formation of a YPG/PKK save heaven has been completed thanks to this operation (/s).

Every month since ES operation stopped, there is talk of extending the operation into other areas in Syria. Currently, I dont see int happening anymore. The war is practically over. If they wanted to liberate Afrin or Manbij, they would have included those areas in the ES operation.

Our leaders are brainless cowards. This was clear when they abandoned Turkish territory in Syria (suleyman shah tomb). But the excuse of not intervening was "Feto", what is their excuse now?
