Free Syrian Army leader Mustafa Sijri of Liwa al-Mu'tasim Brigade says that a Turkey backed "National Army" is about to take shape, urging Syrian's to join and the Free Syrian Army to merge, Syria.

Just hope it's true.

does not work, tried before. tried by usa resulted in nsa (new syrian army) which is small, ineffective and heavily reliant on jordan/usa.

just more attempts to hype people, could even call it a marketing attempt to label the FSA which does not exist as a national force. SAA is the national force.

Can someone please explain to me how this is any different than just a name change from FSA to SNA?

1) It doesnt include all factions
2) Participant factions will be halfly disbanded and connected under one command
3) Authority of the SNA will belong to Turkey

I am pretty sure you can't officially form a mercenary army in another country. That will be labelled as aggression. Unofficially however, FSA is already virtually under Turkish authority.

Plus wouldn't it be easier to include the remaining factions to the FSA and restructure it?

It can be labelled as aggression doesnt mean it cannot be done. What kind of logic is that? Iran is doing that with Hezbollah Terrorists, US and Germany is doing that with KCK Terrorists and they are not aggressors, but Turkey wants to do that with Syrian People and she is an aggressor?

No, Al-Nusra Terror Organisation is also part of the İdlib region, which turned into Cancer. İdlib pocket must be removed. You cannot revive FSA from this point. They dont even have any healthy stratucture, they never had. They were like bunch of gangs try to fight against Assad, also time to time fight against each other. Basicly ;

-Assad is not our enemy, who cares Assad?
-Al-Nusra must be dead
-There is no discipline among FSA gangs, it is better to create one loyal force under our command without gang stratucture.
