There is another speededest stop gap solution for Turkish Navy in the field of Air Defence Frigate Gap .

Looks like our Siper missile use double stage, two stage have same lenght big probaply is first stage missile is g-40 it's a 1.5-2 times more width diametered version of Gökdoğan Bvr. His lenght big probaply around 3-3.4 meter. With second stage booster total lenght of siper will be 6-6.5 meter.

So it can greatly fit our vls's on Gabya and barbaros classes.

Our vls's tactical lenghted and he have 6.86 meter lenght.

İf our siper first stage diameter will be 240-260mm etc. big probaply booster diameter is aroun 300 mm via 3d pic of missile. And big probaply booster is rocket section of Trg-300 kasırga missile.

So, Americans worked before about double pack Sm-2 missile before that ;

İf we achieve this with our siper missile on our vls's it would be great .

Just because

We have 4 8xvls loaded + smart-s mk2 added and genesis used gabya class frigate and 2 8x vls added + 16x vls added barbaros class frigate with smart-s mk2 + genesis loaded.

So if we increase 8 vls to 16 2 of the 4 barbaros class and fit 2x siper one mk-41 canister ; we can gain 8x air defence frigate with short way.


How ;

We can add 16x siper long range(vls) + 32x Sm-1 mid range (classical launcher) in 4 gabya and 16x siper in 8x vls and 32x essm in barbaros class without any modernization.

This frigates can use siper kind missiles, just because their s band smart-s mk2 can detect targets and theirs sting e/o mk2 or aselsan akr kind fire control radars can guide sipers until mid range after that missile can open own 65 km ranged radar.

Yes it could be low capable air defence ship , I prefer allways another mar-d kind x band radar for smart-s mk 2 dont break level scan when engage.But maybe on barbaros vls. Not bad then nothing.
