is it me just thinking or doesn't the initial design seem to have few VLS platforms? I mean the TF-2000.

There's a empty space at beam side as you can see but half of it is likely to occupied by Atmaca launcher canisters or how about the hangarüstü? CIWS and VLS? Either way it can harm the radar there depending on the missile preference like a LACM.

It was a real surprise for me to read that 50 year old wooden hull KARTAL's are in service

Bro, This one looks more completed one in terms of "hangarüstü" and VLS but less for bridge and CAFRAD. The back radar is stationed seperate place than funnel. It is a VLS (for LACM (?) + RAM put back of radar. At Forecastle, It is 5 X 8 cell MK-41 + RAM.

I meant missiles like Gezgin, the rocket boos of such missiles could harm that radar if placed near it. But as for this design, don't you think that they would not place a mk41 near it? Too risky based on this picture. It seems like these details will keep emerging until we get a final blueprint of the design.

@cabatli_53 Brother, I know that it is only a pre-design . But is it not a severe risk that no CIWS ( e.g. Phalanx) is planned ? How will it defend itself against future super cavitating ghost boats ?

.
New Navy projects:

-8 New Fast Patrol boats, as replacement of Kartal class to protect critical bases
-Search and Resque boats

8 FAC (Composite Hull)
10 FAC (Steel hull)
-------------------------------------
18 New generation 50+ knots missile boats will be produced...

With composite hull FAC project, I think It is opened the way for Yonca-Onuk to proceed development of MRTP-42/44.

Thx Dr. Okuz...

We were talking about 4+6 Turkish FAC now it jumped upto 18...

Bro so far i remember ,2-3 years ago i have read all the classification society*1 rules , from 2 different countries one is RINA (italy) other might be LR ( GB) or DNV&GL (now) and the rules were covering weapon installation as well , not in the details but in coarse ,it also includes the distance from surfaces and equipments based on their sensitivity to heat by considering effective boost area for different kind of missiles (depends on which will be installed,or if with canister or VLS).

So from here we can say, eventhough our engineers do such a dumb act( which i think they will never do after experiences gained in milgems) , the CS will not approve the documents and ask fore revise from the initial steps.

*1 classification society is whom ,which controls even document of a screw on a ship ,and checks everything from design to delivery ( even after delivery )

Ohh God thanks bro, That's what crossed my mind a lot. I was shocked when I saw the designs here. But again, it seems like not gonna happen that way unless we see a final official confirmed blueprint of the design.

Thyssen-Krupp and HDW suffer severe image losses after delay of Turkish AIP Subs more than 2 years and a severe incident on the Israeli Sub TANIN.

On board of the TANIN the Siemens delivered "Fuel Cell " stopped working after one of the 300 membranes had a little Leckage.
Israel were delivered new AIP cells with new designed degassers and warranty Extended until End 2019.

Australia is now in negotiations for his 12 Subs with DCNS and a Japanese Consortium.

.
@Neptune - @isoo Worth to think about or Illusion ?
I wrote that above cause the trends changes and new designs are on the way,
SAT,SAS Teams ,Drones, SOM and mini-Subs onboard and much more.

Türkiye should reject the 100 Million € Penalty from Thyssen Krupp Marine and go for an other design.
Of course the Naval Shipyard must be Extended and modernized but the Germans even delivered False Yard Euipment, which was very different from the ordered.

If we go for an Aircraft Warrier for blue water operations we would better take that ship or go for Japanese SORYU class.

U-216 - If Germany rejects we should go for SORYU class.

DescriptionSoryu class and a diesel-electric variant of the Barracuda-class nuclear submarine under construction for the French Navy.

Variants:
None.
Ongoing project.

Technical Data Back to top
Design
Double hull design.
Type 216 is equipped with an air independent propulsion system, giving it the same kind of ability as a nuclear submarine: Staying underwater for weeks to reach crisis area, such as the Strait of Malacca. Like an SSN It would have the ability to launch cruise missiles, to deploy special forces with their underwater delivery vehicle and even unmanned underwater vehicles. The class is designed to be extremely quiet due to its propulsion system and through the use of sound absorbing coating on the hull.
Missions
» Anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare
» ISTAR (Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance)
» Land attack capability
» Special Forces operations
» Deployment of unmanned vehicles
» Mine operations and mine reconnaissance
Features
» High crew comfort standard due to enlarged accommodation, recreation area and utility rooms
» Sewage and waste treatment to fufil future environmental regulations
» Stealth characteristics:
__- AIP system for submerged condition lasting for weeks (fuel cell and methanol reformer)
__- Degaussing system
__- Highest acoustic requirements for silent operations
__- Target strength optimised shaping and coating
» Combat information centre with seven multifunctional control consoles
» Sail with nine hoistable masts
» Sensor layout for best performance (acoustic, optic, electronic support measures, communication & nav.)
» Future-oriented flexible payload systems:
__- Up to three vertical multi-purpose locks with various modules (e.g. seven missile modules)
__- Various modules for mission-based equipment inside casing
__- Multi-purpose room for intra-mission flexibility and inter-mission modularity
__- Modular multi-purpose mast
Weapons

    • 6x 533 mm torpedo tubes (to deploy torpedoes, anti-ship missiles or mines)
    • Flexible storage area for 18 reserve weapons
    • Weapon module for vertical multi-purpose lock (2.5 m diameter to deploy cruise missiles or UUV)

bro, lets say the worst happened and design is finalized in the way you worried. Its know how hard military accepts the platforms ,the experience i had lived, they were even obsessed with small details like small paint drops on unseen cables. For once they asked for computer analysis of a watery spray system (even catalogue of equipment proves the required value ,they even did tests for the pressure)
while so strict on these,i dont think they ll miss that detail. But i hope the designers watch out for that section, or will end up with time loss.

@isoo @Neptune @cabatli_53
I began this discussion in the NAVY thread cause NAVY is the only FORCE that can Show FLAG globally.

And I believe it is right was German member @Bismarck said :

"They are hostile to you cause you are TURKS and they will do it further on and you can't do anything !"

I believe the raise of TERROR, the withdrawal of PATRIOTS ha nothing to do with RTE or AKP;

some nations are scared that we try to make and will in future make our own policy.
I believe relying my experience from the past, that they would react also to a CHP or other Government.

First Turkish submarine called Abdulhamid, constructed in Turkey/Ottoman and commisioned in 1886. Bragging ? just for information... ;)

chtoqpaumaaonte.jpg

Superb..In addition bro, those who complete submarine training are called abdulhamits until their very first submarine mission :)

Edit: they don't use that anymore, it was a tradition of oldies.
