Midsection propulsion is not preferred but a neccessity when you employ wire/ fiberwire guidance support into your missiles. That are TOW, Eryx and Milan with simple electric wires, Spike and MMP with Fiberoptic cables. This powering increases complexity and expenses. Both of Javelin and Kornet have aft propulsion!
Your argument does not dissuade from the advantages of having midsection propulsion, also, Kornets flight motor is midsection as it is beam riding missile just like TOW.
Also, i suggest you look up next generation of France's Air Launched ATGM 'MLP/EMM ' which is R/F data-linked with midsection propulsion.
