Turkey’s defense firm Roketsan released an image of new Khan ballistic missile program at IDEX 2017 military exhibition.

The artillery missile Khan, designed and produced by Roketsan, can provide mass fire power on High Payoff Targets within area of influence of the army.

Roketsan at IDEX2017 reported that the Khan missile has a diameter of 610 mm, a total weight of 2500 kg, and a 470 kg warhead.

Khan missile provides high lethality depth by means of its long range. Khan missile can be launched from Roketsan made Weapon System and other platforms with applicable interfaces and integration.

I love the name. It reminds our history and old Khanates. Long live to the Khan

bora missile is 1000km but the export khan version is 300km because of the mtcr restrictions for export. On the site of ssm it said uzun menzilli , 300km is a short range missile but the one acquired by our armed forces is at least 1000km

Maybe but if you wanna compare.

DF-15 has 600 km range.

Weight: 6200 kg
Diameter: 1 meter
Lenght: 9.1 meter.

So, with the current specifications of Bora, you still shouldn't expect something even like 600 km.

The fact that the Khan missile was revealed first as an export product means this is 300km max and probably has artificially increased CEP. That has nothing to do with any other missile projects which won't be exported, which may have 600km+ range and would have much lower CEP. Those haven't been revealed and probably won't be for a few more years.

Countries have different might have different classifications.

Medium range ballistic missiles have range between 1000-2000 km for example.

Another thing i want to underline is. "Uzun menzilli karadan karaya füze" (from SSM's page.)

They are not saying "ballistic", so it's pointless for us to categorize Bora, just by look at "Uzun menzilli."

That means it is useless for us, we can't even hit all of mainland Greece. Essentially we get no strategic capabilities with the Bora as is. It is a short range missile that gives us nothing. All we can do is target Greek island bases.
