I think, Nurol came with better answers for their needs than BMC as they are more experienced and have more mature product line. The fact that BMC’s only established defence product is Kirpi only. You know Amazon (old Vuran) rejected by us, as it failed in explosion resistance tests and they had to come with all new Vuran. Have you noticed that there was Kirpi 6x6 in the parade. 4x4 variant is actually rear tire heavy product which is may not be suitable deserts. etc, etc. The Qatari deciders more intelligent than you think. So, Nurol won the contract. BMC should think twice as they lost the match in the home!

Nurol is developing Kirpi type 6x6 vehicle, we will probably see it second quarter of 2018.

Nurol has its own armor technology company that have been working on armors for a decade. They sold mane soldier armors and probably thats what makes it special than others.

On the other hand, the used the technology used on tank and latest IFV, which you can update the weight of the vehicle and beasically increase the protection. For cobra type NMS vehicle, stanag level 4 has protection is really crazy.. there is not other such vehicle... imagien what you can do with Ejder Yalchin 3 which is sold and can be updated like NMS.

Apart from other 4x4 vehicles Nurol NMS has composite armor. (I can't remember source now AFAIK it was combatmaster)
Nurol NMS must be more expensive.It is high-end of 4x4 vehicles.
