BTW can you lot see the pic, because i can not?

. . . . . . .
Could we imagine after this modernization process that Aselsan could modernize a lot of MI-17 around the world ?

What are the details of Mi-17 modernization ? (only avionic ?)

. .
This can be a gap-filler for the CH-47 we will recieive. But then again CH-47 is not comparable when taking the load weight, in to consideration.

But it's better than the black hawks i think.

Bro, we bought these Mi-17 a long time ago (1995-1996) and don't forget, SSM is negociating with Sikorsky for more black hawks (100+ for us and more for export market).

I think Mi-17 in our inventory is an accident during 90's :)

As you said Mi-17 and Chinook aren't comparable.

.
We didn't "buy" mi17s. Russia was on economic crisis and they have given Mi17s in compensation for their debt.

It's not a good helicopter it's a meh helicopter :) It's certainly not chinook or Mi26 but it's the heaviest helicopter we've got

Cougars are even lighter than Black Hawks
@BordoEnes

Those are probably cockpit upgrades, MFDs and stuff. Mi17's have already been modernized once. They have upgraded countermeasure systems.

The Hip's are a very versatile and tough transport helicopter.
NATO forces use them in Afganistan.

I never knew we had any Hip's in service...

You guys don't sound like your a fan of Russian helicopters.
This is also the Jandarma not the Army.
