With automation becoming more mainstream and the rising cost of production in China, the need for global imports from China might reduce in the next couple decades. Till then China will be the king of global exports.

China have been manipulating all countries by by putting high import duties on goods going into China to protect their manufacturing while they dump everything they make on everybody else virtually tariff free and now it's their turn they are squealing like a stuffed pig. What it needs is for all nations to stop trading with China unless a tariff free agreement for all can be agreed.

You must be buying lots of construction machines. After all, you have 2023 program and a number of crazy projects, as far as I remember.

Besides, you have fast growing population supported by immigrants of various nationalities (population dividend). They also need affordable good quality products.

Of course not this:

But something cheaper.

You have, in short, a number of inherent strengths that makes you a country of high consumption. Practically speaking, only a handful of countries are actually export-oriented and a big portion of them (those that do not have to rely on resources for positive trade balance) happen to be in East Asia, around China's cultural sphere of influence.

It is just how the world economic system is constructed. Got to live with it.

This is a form of decentralization. China is seen as world factory and that should not be forever. Manufacturing capacities should be spread all over the world and not centralized in one country. This is to avoid one country to control entire world. Turkey should imposing tariffs on imports from China will support local producers and that is a good thing. China retaliating will surelly hurt Turkey in short term (if happen) - but in the long term it will be beneficial.

Turkey has the large infrastructure and solid foundation to compete with both China and Germany when it comes to manufacturing of mid to high end goods....

Manufacturing is slowly but steadily pacing towards automation, where machines virtually produce from materials mixed together and assemble all the tiny bits and pieces to bring out end/finished product with little or some times no human input. This is the biggest threat China faces in the next couple decades. If machines are able to deliver products which locals in their countries consume, why would companies and retail stores feel the need to import from China?

There will be a big shift from how world/local enemies are also run in the future. Canada for example is trialling basic income for thousands of residents, which is basically money for free, to see how this will run in the future. Some might be fearful of loss of jobs in the industries of the future but the world is forever changing and humans simply adjust to it.

World need cheap labor. Who can be next to China?

Maybe the most ridiculous sentence I have heard in my lifetime.

Maybe the most ridiculous sentence I have heard in my lifetime.

It's the truth bro.

Germany Exports‎: ‎$1.33 trillion (2016)

Turkish Exports: $30billion (2003)
Turkish Exports: $175billion (est. 2018)

That's a X6 fold increase in 15 years.

Imagine what the next 15-20 years could bring to Turkey, considering we're now emphasising exporting machines and equipment worldwide :)
