Turkish defence budget $7 billion ? Pakistan is over $8 billion how is this possible ?

I think Turk is $46 billion not TL

It is TL but it is only a part of full expenditure. The all over security budget is 110 billion TL. (30 billion dollars)

Turkey’s 2017 defence budget was raised from $7.9 billion (28.7 billion TL) to $11.5 billion (41.3 billion TL), an increase of almost 50 percent from the beginning of the year, according the Official Gazette.

So what will these money get Turkey? Is it money for new projects or accelerate projects that are in pipeline or will we buy some advanced stuff next year and therefor the need of extra money?

An agreement regarding the procurement of communication systems valuing USD 43.634.744,40 has been signed between ASELSAN and a Ukraine-based client on 09.10.2017. Within the context of this agreement, deliveries will be made in 2018.

BTW Aselsan introduced new intercommunication system which is more digitised.

Previous system, which is still very modern and up to date.

National Police to purchase communication systems from Turkey’s Aselsan

The National Police of Ukraine will purchase professional communication systems from Turkey's leading defense company Aselsan.

The relevant contract was signed during the XIV International Specialized Exhibition "Arms and Security-2017” on October 10, an Utriform correspondent reports.

“This contract was signed as part of the competition for the supply of communication systems for the needs of the National Police in the framework of the implementation of state guarantees. The company Aselsan won the closed tender procedure on the proposals of foreign companies, it offered the best quantitative and qualitative indicators," Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov commented on signing of the contract.

At the same time, the minister refused to give more details regarding the contract.

According to the information provided by Aselsan, the signed contract is a framework agreement between the company Everest and the company Aselsan regarding the purchase of professional communication systems.

10 years for +20%. Nice. But it's going to be faster to reach those +20% in the coming years. Around 80-85% at the end of 2025-26 since major defence products gonna see the light in the 2021-2023 range.
