Bro, Think that If we accept it, We will produce Eurofighter aircrafts in Turkey and integrate on them everything we want including own missile systems. We have all management rights over them including export rights and After this deal, Turkey will be an equal partner of Eurofighter consortium (%15-20(?)...

That's increadible offer !! We have to give an OK for EF-2000's because Eurofighter consortium needs the impressive influence of Turks over Muslim World to export those aircrafts. :)

F-4E Simsek Modernization...

The Simsek project (Thunder), it involves 16 F-4Es( all non-F-4E2020s). The goal is to use the experience gained from Isik project (RF-4Es)and perform cost effective avionics upgrade for 16 F-4Es as well as structural work to keep them flying another 10-12 years. TuAF is hoping to keep 18 RF-4Es and 16 F-4Es airworthy until the first examples of F-35s enter service around 2016-2017.

I am looking forward to see TIHA-A that will go out of hangar this friday (16.07.2010).

BAYKAR, Turkey should develop its UAV (ÇALDIRAN) to be loaded with missiles. TAI's UAV (TIHA-B) will be equipped with Turkey's missiles (Cirit, Umtas, Omtas).

Cirit has shown superiority to US's Hellfire and Israel's Spike.

According to Hürriyet the name of TIHA Block A will be ANKA.. also interestingly TIHA Block-A/ANKA is being introduced as a HALE(high altitude long endurance) class UAV on the invitation cards for the ceremony. When asked if it was a misprint, TAI representatives said no and that the technical details will be revealed during the ceremony.
And finally static tests are the final stages and the flight test phase will be commenced in September.

Here is a new picture of the TIHA Block A / ANKA

PS. Maybe they hinted that TIHA Block B with its SAR (also weaponized with jereeds/Cirits as one very reliable and knowledgeable person claimed) will be a HALE class UAV.
Hopefully all the question marks will be answered during the Friday "get out of the hangar" ceremony..

Not working for me. Anywhere we can find the video ?
