A lot of non Turks always say we won our enemies with numbers alone while ignoring technology, strategy, tactics, logistics, morale and motivation.

You got any good sources?? You have numerous examples of Turks kicking *** while being outnumbered.

Any truth to what these Turk haters say. Numbers alone cant win wars same with technology. Winning wars and battles come down to numerous factors.

Not surprising the Ottomans are not dumb enough to sacrifice 100k men on one single battle.

100k is mainly for the whole campaign. Ottomans also had to face lots of forts and castles which means a big emphasis on siege warfare.

Gallipoli the Ottomans were actually outnumbered. Forget the numbers they were outgunned and also lacking in tech compared to the British and the French.

To make matters worse a lot of the subjects of the Ottoman empire deserted while a lot of the colonial subjects fought. British actually could field like a million Indians into their army.

Seljuks even took Anatolia with less men compared to the byzantines. Ottomans in their early form were actually outnumbered compared to the Byzantines.

300k Gokturks hahahahha nomad armies cant even field that much men. Genghis Khans army peaked around 50k to 60k some sources even say its 45k.

Nomadic armies could not even reach 100k unless if you include mercs or auxillaries or other nations serving in the Mongol army.

eastern Asians are physically weaker than westerns. also heavy Armour can make difference too. like how 300 Greek with brass Armour could resist outnumbering achaemenid army with just clothes. or how mehmet army including mamluks failed against several Italian mercenary with steel Armour in the battle of Istanbul.

There was a wide war between the Gokturks and the Persians however the only source for the so called first and second Gokturk-Persian war was an Armenian who was known for lying.

In the end the Gokturks won anyway.

In the Siege of Constantinople the lightly armored troops of Ottomans didn't stand a chance against the elite plate armored mercenaries. If the Ottomans didn't start building and using hand-held firearms years later then we could've seen an alternate history where they would imitate the mercs by working on their own full body plate armor.

The Sassanian cataphracts do look pretty cool.

The Sassanians had pushed back the Gokturks initially, however the sources on this are very biased.

Firstly there weren't hundreds of thousands of Gokturks. Not even close. You can't sustain such a big army in the steppe.

Secondly every single source on these first two conflicts are from one side. The Gokturks rarely wrote anything down. Literally everything known about it comes from one side. Many times this indicates false information. Just like the 300 Spartans....

Some of Mongol and Turkish cavalry also had heavy armour, as well as were great archers which is why they decimated most armies.
