EU membership is restricted to European states whose human rights record is up to standard. Everyone has a veto in EU including Greece and Cyprus. Turkey is not interested in addressing both of the previous issues. Turkey already has economic concessions on trade, technology and some on immigration.

This is just Erdogan making a drama to extract something under the sun from USA or Germany or France. I do not blame him or fault him. Quit pretending that he means what he says. Because he does not.

Well, depends on what Erdogan want.

Do they want them to send back to Turkey? Or do they want them to go to cushy Swedish Prison for a few year (usually less than 10 because that what murderer gets) and then got release back to Sweden.

Because if you are thinking number 1. It's impossible, as I said, Swedish Court would not have power to deport EU labeled Refugee without EU court approval, if it was the second one, it's remotely possible, not really likely because that would go thru the Swedish own court system, which is separated from Politics. On the other hand, my wife said it's nearly impossible for them to prosecute these people unless said incident occurred in Sweden.

What she means is, you can try but will most likely throw out of court on day 1 because it didn't happen within Sweden, they don't have jurisdiction.
