I wonder what the delay is? TR could have easily deployed a few hundred commandos and air dropped some APCs, and artillery. They could have started operations with artillery and air support until the remainder of the forces come ( I am guessing via ships). Special forces supported by helicopters on the ground coupled with aircrafts sent from mainland Turkey to conduct reconnaissance and strike missions,destroy enemy assets and infrastructures,stabilize the front while regular forces are projected by air and sea on very short notice from mainland Turkey,then when main forces are regrouped (few days at most),launch a counter offensive to repel the enemy and liberate the territories they captured. The air force establishes itself in the country to provide better air support than always projecting aircrafts from mainland Turkey.

For a NATO army,that shouldn't be something too hard.

TR should have been on the ground already, any gain made is a better position at the negotiating table. It seems TR negotiations with RU are not going well, look at Syria for example. RU is a master chess player and if you wait to consult them then you won't get what you want in Libya. Take ground then negotiate, RU can't do anything then other than a military intervention but in Libya seems highly unlikely the RU military is already stretched with the Syria campaign.

You will be able to do dozen of sorties per day max with all that refuelling shit and in case Egypt will not engage you directly with their ar force. If they decide to engage - then no sorties at all. Guided bombs are useless against mobile air defence and vehicles and are used only against buildings. Russia is doing hundreds of strike per day in Idlib just to take small town from Turkish backed terrorists. So the question how many cruise missiles you have and what you will be able to achieve with your tiny 10-15 strikes per day while Egypt will send in their ground forces and take Tripoli in a week? Nothing. Erdogan understand that and will not even use air force in Lybia just to avoid humiliation.
