That's your taste. Our leaders do the right thing by not letting Indonesia in the crosshair of another cold war. Right now Indonesia's main focus is to rebuilding its economy and military. That way, we can shape our own destiny, nor putting our children and grandchildren future at foreign powers hand.

You guys need to have a more active presence globally.
The world of today is shifting... Those who have some sort of Viable economy need to move their agenda toward the "outside".
It's nice and important to rebuild your economy... But it doesn't give you an immunity token.
I see that you are doing nice in your military... but still not enough taking into account your current Power and geopolitical situation in that region...

I'm afraid that such passivity will push superpowers to take advantage of such stance and move onto you when their "conflict" arise to a certain level... Where you will have to chose a side, because of your lack of "Influence" in the global stage and your not enough military power...

In case you didnt knew > The Islam practiced by Malaysia and Indonesia is different from the one you are used to (Middle East). Thats why there is no real urge or connection from Malay and Indos to actively engage you guys. And it wont change in the future.

Good for us actually, being the center of world attention is the least Indonesia need. As for geopolitical situation, here in ASEAN things are relatively calm compared to Mideast or South Asia, while the Chinese are being distracted here and there by their own machinations (SCS and Xinjiang).

The problem with ME... is their lack of Islamic knowledge...
They've got a knowledge mixed with Liberalism/Secularism left by their Masters... and call is "Islam"...
Therefore Every failure linked to that "mixture of Islam" is attributed to "Real Islam"... That's why the region sees everything emanating from Islam as "suspicious"... Even though some are obviously sick and cancerous...
