Yes Arabic was the scholarly language at that time in the Muslim world, that doesn't make them Arab.
I have always wondered why can't we hear of any scientific or literary accomplishments under the rule of the Ottoman empire? Why aren't there Avecine, Ibn Rush, Alrazi, Ibn Khaldoun, Ibn Arabi...etc in all of the hundreds of years they have ruled over vast parts of the world?
I didn't ask about Turks. I specifically asked why hadn't science and literature flourish under the rule of the Ottomans. They can be Arabs, Turks, Persians or Europeans. A great civilization is the one that allows its citizens from various ethnicities and cultures to prosper under its rule. Why hasn't this happened in the Ottoman empire?
