The most incompetent thing is to blame others for not being able to stop people crossing into one country, its every country's responsibility to secure their own borders...how stupid will it make me look if i leave my front door wide open and then blame it on police for not being able to stop thieves come into my house. Now think about Afghans who not only easily cross into Iran but are facilitated and transported by Iranians for 1000s of miles within Iran, not able to stop them enter the country not being able to stop them get into Turkey

Remember all the heated debates, accusations and conflicts regarding the border security between Iran and Pakistan? Again and again many Iranians accused Pakistan of being incompetent and simply not able to implement a decent border management. They criticized that people could easily cross the border without being stopped by the Pakistani forces.

Well, last year 30.000 (!!!) Afghan "refugees" entered Turkey via Iran. The Iranian authorities did nothing to prevent them from illegally crossing the Turkish-Iranian border.

Now, the Turkish gov't speculated that approx. 3 million Afghanis could leave Iran for Turkey. THIS is why they really decided to build a huge permanent barrier between Iran and Turkey similar to the wall at the Syrian-Turkish border.

Even though Iran officially welcomed this decision, this wall is going to prevent the predominantly Sunni Afghanis from exiting Iran, which the Shia cleric won't like, I guess.

Says the guy whose own leader (Erdogan) is blackmailing Europe by using tens of thousands of Syrian refugees, allowing them to illegally go to Europe from Turkey and indirectly drowning many of them in Mediterranean too.

All this only to milk Europeans using Syrian refugee card and possibly have another shot at joining EU, in which obviously, Erdogan failed miserably.

I mean it is a ridiculous irony here. We have been hosting Afghan refugees for decades (and almost all of them are Shia, to your disappointment) and we have been praised by UN for it. You are the last person who wants to talk about refugees and how to treat them.

Indeed, I don't intend to fight anyone here, but some wrong and unfair accusations are needed to be answered or else, the gullible and naive will fall for them, as they always do.

Threat perception is everything. Pakistan should forget about CPEC if the borders are not secure. And thats their plan for us.. they destabilize our western border to an extent the Chinese get sucked in to protect their assets . What follows would be ugly. what they are sowing right not in Middle East will be reaped in Baluchistan, afganistan, central asia, Myanmar, Bangladesh.The boogeyman they created will be the tool to counter OBOR other than their Middle East objectives.
