Turkey sealing Syrian border with giant wall

we need at least 2 km thick minefield better 3

then let them try to make a 3 km tunnel with some serious Uav activity it could be possible to detect them when they go to work on the tunnel.. they have to work month or years for that..

also I dont know how and if there is a technology to discover holes maybe we could have a vehicle wich could scan the earth 10 m on ground than you could detect such things..

but without guards with special radars (on vehicles) on ground and air its meaningless..

UAVs wont work, they could start digging in a building or under trees.

I know that Israelis are struggling with Hamas tunnels too, I dont think there is a technological solution for this problem so far.

.
Some geophones along the wall should solve this, but it'll take some time before it's implemented..
US border has seismic sensors on critical spots, its a relatively cheap solution, well at least cheaper than guards every couple hundred meters.

.
How are land mines gonna help against tunnels?

They will help as quite as How they could before. Please no IQ tests. Mine field with 5km width would make harder to dig. Firstly no one couldn't approach .
Kazinabilecek uygun ve yumusak Bolgelerde tunneller yogunlasiyor.

.
I understand the logic behind this. Syria has become a cesspool for terrorists and detorioration of law. I think Pakistan should take similar steps for Afghanistan.

.
Will Pakistan going to implement similar thing on Pak-Iran and Pak-Afghan border?

. . . . . .
Similar type of wall is urgently needed in Pakistan's border with Afghanistan, to stop RAW and NDS sponsored terrorists slipping in.

Turkey completes 556-Km border wall with Syria

Dpa/Istanbul

Turkey has completed a 556-kilometre wall along its border with Syria, the Defence Ministry said on Tuesday on its Twitter feed.

The wall was designed as a security measure and is made of concrete blocks. Photos from the ministry show the tops of the blocks are covered in barbed wire and there are guard towers placed at intervals.

The project was done in cooperation with TOKI, the state-run public housing body. The body said the wall is about three metres high.

The full length of the border is 911 kilometres.

In the first years of the Syrian civil war, fighters, including many who joined jihadist organizations such as Islamic State, were able to cross the porous border into Syria.

Islamic State has since been driven away from the border by a Turkish land operation inside Syria.

Turkey remains concerned by Kurdish authorities who control most of the border on the Syrian side, though these forces work with the United States in the war against Islamic State.

Human rights groups have expressed concerns that Turkey's increased security on the border prevents refugees from fleeing Syria. There have been reports of Syrians being shot while trying to flee the war-torn country.

Turkey hosts more than 2 million Syrian refugees and hundreds of thousands from Iraq and other countries.
