1. Yes, Bengali Muslims played a key role and most Bangladeshis I know have pride in their Muslim identity, It's like 50% of Bangladeshis I know have the word "Islam" in their names :-D.
2. It's good to see Bangladeshs economy thriving and it's diplomatic influence raising. You have great work ethics and education is important to you. I am lucky for you and I will definetily visit Bangladesh one day with my cousins family. Inshallah
.
You should try to improve your relations with Pakistan as well and we may become a federation again without the mistakes of the 60ies and 70ies!
3. Yes, mistakes were made in 1971 and the years before that year and Pakistan paid it's price then. Bangladesh pays it now by becoming a Hindu protectorate and sucking-up to India 24/7. This doesn't mean that Pakistan has no problems itself, but you Bangladeshis could admit that you are not a sovereign country and if India wanted to it could make you its official 29th state. You know me,
I don't want bad blood between Pakistanis and Bangladeshis but don't portray Pakistan as Shaitaan and your kind as innocent heroes. Bangladesh will always be seen as Hindu project, executed by Hindus, formed by Hindus and as protectorate for Hindus.
No proud Muslim can live with that. Heck even the non-religious Muslims cannot! 10 Billion Hindus and 2 Billion Bangladeshis managed to defeat few thousand Pakistanis whilst them being busy raping 3 Billion Bangladeshi women at the same time. Great!
Pakistan-Bangladesh unity is something I personally strive for. Because I know the younger generation not wasting its time on internet battles has no link to 1971. For young populations like ours 50 years are ancient history. But your government as Indian puppet government will bring this up til end of times and incite hate against another Muslim population.

Why can't we be friends? I know a mentally challenged member of PDF from Pakistan started the provocation, but it would the best to just ignore him.
