Due to the sectoral grouping of products and goods, it is possible to track defense exports through these data. TR's aim is to completely end foreign dependency in its military/defense capacity that will sustain its independent interests. The enormous acceleration in exports is a by-product of the effort to reach this goal.

According to the report, the defense and aerospace industry is one of the sectors with the highest export growth in the next 14 years. Between 2021 and 2035, the increase in exports in this sector was expected to be 425 percent. However, the report's estimates for the past year have fallen short of the actual figures. (Turkiye's total exports reached 225 billion 291 million dollars in 2021 with an increase of 32.8 percent compared to the previous year, for example.)
