Turkey continues denial of Armenian genocide

“As an Armenian, I never condone terrorism, but there must be a reason behind this. Maybe the terrorism will work. It worked for the Jews. They have Israel.“ Kevork Donabedian, the editor of The Armenian Weekly, an ethnic newspaper published in the United States, as quoted in the November 18, 1980 issue of The Christian Science Monitor.

"We have first hand information and evidence of Armenian atrocities against our people (Jews). Members of our family witnessed the murder of 148 members of our family near Erzurum, Turkey, by Armenian neighbors, bent on destroying anything and anybody remotely Jewish and/or Muslim... Armenians were in league with Hitler in the last war, on his promise to grant themselves government if, in return, the Armenians would help exterminate Jews. Armenians were also hearty proponents of the anti-Semitic acts in league with the Russian Communists." Elihu Ben Levi, Vacaville, California, letter, San Francisco Chronicle (December 11, 1983).

France President on Armenian Genocide: We will never forget

default.jpg

Emmanuel Macron issued a message to President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia, on the 103rd anniversary of this tragedy.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday issued a message to President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia, on the 103rd anniversary of Armenian Genocide.

“We remember, at your side, April 24, 1915 in Constantinople and 600 Armenian intellectuals’ slaughter, which attests to the beginning of the first genocide of the 20th century,” the message reads, in particular. “We will never forget those killed men, the women and children who found their end on the roads of exile—from starvation, cold, and exhaustion.

“Back on May 25, 1915, France, together with Great Britain and Russia, had described these massacres as a crime against humanity and civilization.

“The recollection of genocide and the meaning of its lessons refer to each and every one of us.”
OMG is this a joke. France, FRANCEEE talking about genocide? This spineless, honour less, faceless dog is not aware what countries president he is.

I actually laughed at this one. France killed millions from algerians to africans, and now they are acting like saints.

Start a rebellion, get your *** kicked and then cry to international community.

Also interesting, for a century nobody gave a single damn about the issue but suddenly those countries that have political dispute with Turkey start recognizing it.
And the best part is those who judge Turkey for the things happened before the country was even founded are the ones responsible for the worst crimes on humanity around the globe.
If that isnt hypocracy in monumental scale then i dont know what.

PS: expecting a thread about arabic slave trade from op since he seems to care about past crimes.

. . .
in WWI they did so many crimes and killed so many Iranian in north west of Iran as well ...
Thank you for this great opportunity.

Let's expose more of Armenian lies, Heads or Tales:

The "heads" are often presented either as genocide victims or as Armenian notables. Steve Keohane of Bibleprobe provided the following caption: "Heads of Christians, traditionally treated like trophies by the Turks."

heads-of-dashnaks.jpg

The AGA site gets to the bottom of the story behind this photo; we are given the names of these heads as well as the source. They are the members of Dashnaktsutiun and resided in a village in Iran.

"... If such partisans fell into the hands of the Ottoman authorities, they had to count on execution. The photo shows the heads of eight of nine Armenians from the village Mahlam in Salmast (Iran), who were executed on 26 October 1898 on instruction of the Ottoman government and to which the Dashnaktsutiun had belonged to a social-revolutionary Armenian party. It concerned Chatschatur Harutjunjan out of Moks (left above), Harutjun out of Ulnia (Sejtun), Stepan of Chisan, Harik of Schatach, Gabriel Muradjan, Nahapet Jeriasarjan ("Nacho" from Wosm), Harutjun Chatschatrjan out of Moks as well as Galust Galojan. Awetis Ohanjan, the ninth victim, is not to be seen in the picture."
The source is none other than the official news organ of the Dashnaktsutiun, "The Droshak," Jan. 31, 1899, S. 5.

Those were executed responsibles of a bloody event:

Terrible Barbarities.

Constantinople, Sunday.

The following telegram was received to-day by the Porte from Veli? : — On August 6th several thousand Armenian agitators crossed the frontier from Persia and attacked the Mizriki tribe, killing about two hundred persons, among whom were women and children. They further put the wife of the chief of the tribe to the most cruel death, and cut off the noses of several others of their victims. It is officially declared that the necessary precautions have been taken by the Imperial authorities not only to capture these marauders, but also to provide against eventualities in the vilayet of Van. The Ottoman Government has also requested the Persian Government to arrest these criminal bands, who on being pursued by Turkish troops may attempt to recross the frontier. The Persian Government is also urged to take proper measures for preventing in future these incursions of Armenian revolutionaries into Turkish territory. — Reuter,

THE RECENT ARMENIAN RAID.

TEHERAN, TUESDAY.

A prolonged inquiry has just been concluded by the Persian authorities regarding the Armenian raid on the Turco-Persian frontiers last month, which was followed by serious fighting between Armenians and Kurds, with heavy losses on both sides. The result of the inquiry shows that the bulk of the raiders were from Turkish territory, and that fewer than 300 came from Persia. Nine villages were sacked, and there were massacred over 300 Mussulmans and Christians, including women and children. Twenty-nine of the ringleaders have been arrested, and handed over to the authorities to be dealt with. — Reuter.

Its time for you to learn history, Atatürk has nothing to do with this in the remotest.

Historian Dr. Mark Levene, in his journal titled “Creating a modern zone of genocide" stated that; "...the CUP committed genocide in order to transform the residual empire into a streamlined, homogeneous nation-state on the European model. Once the CUP had started the process, the Kemalists, freed from any direct European pressure by the 1918 defeat and capitulation of Germany, went on to complete it, achieving what nobody believed possible: the reassertion of independence and sovereignty via an exterminatory war of national liberation."

Mark Hopkins Ward, an American physician was working at the American Hospital in Harpoot during the deportation of Greeks in Asia Minor. He was expelled by the Turks for keeping notes on the deportations. Ward described the deportations by saying: “The Kemalists pursued with vigor their considered and systematic campaign for the extermination of the Greek minority in Asia Minor, which was attended with the same incredible brutality as marked the Turkish massacre of 1,000,000 Armenians in the early part of the Great War.”

One of the final acts of the Greek Genocide was the burning of Smyrna (today Izmir) by Kemalist troops in September of 1922. At the conclusion of the Greco-Turkish War a victorious Kemal entered Smyrna on September 10. The following day Turkish soldiers and civilians began a systematic orgy of rape, looting and murder of the Armenians and Greeks of the city. On the 13th of September a fire was lit by Turkish troops which eventually burnt to the ground the Armenian, Greek and European quarters of the city; the Turkish quarter was spared. Kemal then issued a 2 week ultimatum for all Greeks and Armenians to leave otherwise they would be deported to the interior. All men between the ages of 18-45 were considered prisoners of war and were immediately sent into the interior, most of them to perish. In his memoires, Winston Churchill (1874-1965) wrote “..Mustapha Kemal's Army .. celebrated their triumph by the burning of Smyrna to ashes and by a vast massacre of its Christian population...”

Yeah and Armenia continues to deny the Muslim genocide in Nagorno Karabagh and Armenia itself. Sad world huh, everyone's taking a leaf out of the Israeli "feel sorry for us" handbook.

If there was no "Armenian genocide",there was no "Algerian genocide" either. :agree:

That's so cheap of you, you must back your words with evidence and not propaganda. Otherwise, that'd be like what @Baybars Han said, honorless and spineless.

Turkey continues to deny their responsibility in the crime committed against the Armenians, House President Demetris Syllouris said on Tuesday at a ceremony marking the 103rd Remembrance Day of the Armenian Genocide.

Cyprus, he said, was one of the ports-of-call for Armenian refugees, who began to arrive on the island in the late 19th century following the “intensification of the Turkish cruelty.”

The Armenian genocide is considered to have started on April 24, 1915 and to have lasted throughout WWI. Other ethnic Greeks and Assyrians that had lived in Turkey were also subjected to the same policies that forced the Armenians out and saw approximately 1,500,000 people killed.

Syllouris said that the survivors and refugees that arrived in Cyprus were made part of Cypriot society and have become a “vital part of it.”

Cyprus formally recognised the Armenian genocide in 1965, while on the 100th anniversary in 2015, parliament passed a bill to criminalise any form of denial of the genocide, Syllouris noted.

Armenian representative in parliament Varktes Mahdessian also spoke at the event, noting that Turkey continues to deny the genocide. “Turkey is not willing to pay even a cent to the survivors of the genocide or their offspring since that would mean that not only the Armenians could claim their share, but also the Greeks, the Assyrians, and maybe even the Kurds, the Cypriots, and the Alevites”.

Cyprus-Mail

That's a real tragedy, you can't deny the massacre of 1.5 million people forever.

Baba arabi, in concocted history three hundred thousands become three million for getting political mileage. It has happened in my country. Since you are so sympathetic towards persecuted people I would tell you to listen to the other side of the story, the Azeris will tell you that story of persecution and genocide committed by your Armenian allies against the Azeri people. Please don't act like the 'savage' Turks and say that it never happened. As we speak your Armenian buddies are illegally occupying Azeri land and trying to exterminate the Azeri population there. So as good Muslims if the Turks lend a helping hand to the Azeris and spank the Armenian scumbags as they did a century ago I like millions of Muslims wouldn't be too unhappy.

There are lot's of Turkish people to send their regards lol

Historian Dr. Mark Levene, in his journal titled “Creating a modern zone of genocide" stated that; "
As genuine historian Justin McCarthy reminds us: "We must affirm a basic principle: Those who take propaganda as their source themselves write propaganda, not history."

You better come with evidence as like those of mine, instead stories.

What a bullshit article, Izmir has been burned by retreating Greek army, why would anyone celebrate a victory by burning a city?
