The US wasn't pursuing a full of military alliance like it does with Japan(hosts 50,000+ troops) and Australia(intelligence and military installations and facilities), the relationship is strictly to prop it up as a counterweight to India, to present long term challenges to Chinese hegemony in the southern pacific and Indian Ocean.

Turkey has been pissing off the entire Alliance for the last 10 years.

Can you blame them? When Turkey defended its airspace from Russian violations, NATO and especially Greece basically forced turkey to back off. Greece and Germany in particular backed Russia, with Greece openly backing Russia with Germany questioning Turkey.

Hungary should be kicked out first more than Turkey actually. However, lets be realistic neither of this is going to happen. I'm a realist not an idealist or emotional being on such subjects.

For one, Ukraine is not in NATO, so unfortunately NATO couldn't directly interference in the war. In fact , it's also because of this reason that Russia was embolden to invade, if Ukraine was in NATO Russia would jave never dared to invade in the first place. Reason Russia tried everything possible to stop Ukraine from even discussing joining NATO or even E.U.
Secondly, Turkey absolutely has no intention of leaving NATO despite some of their tough talks. They know its brings them lots of advantages, forget some nationalistic Turks on here who try to make others belive otherwise.

Thirdly, i don't see any reason Turkey should be doing in this war that they haven't done.. They have sold drones to Ukraine for use against Russia. To be honest, I don't see what they can offer that cant be offered by Western countries. Moreover, its true that different countries always have their own interests as well. As far as they don't go overboard to actively support the enemy then its ok.
